Hey quick detract from my racism

I'm thinking maybe 2016 point out the obvious anti Scottish racism :)

Seeing as how the Scots constantly get reminded were racist like

No, just responding to someone other than you. Sober or not you certainly come across as very angry and you're not really making any substantive or coherent points that it's worth responding to. If you say something worthwhile then fine.

It's certainly not racist to point out that numbers are what they are. I realise that you vote against the London subsidy but that doesn't stop it from existing.

Some would say that's it's definitely time for change then, and not just for Scotland. The UK can't keep focusing on London forever. Westminster certainly does and this also needs rectifying. After all, there's always two sides to any economic story isn't there...What money comes out, and how much goes back in. Is not really that balanced just to cite one of them.

So to be clear, your argument is that the reason the subsidy from London is so large is because London doesn't spend enough money on subsidising the rest of the country!

Yep sure thing boss ... it's all my fault so it is

I am angry, I'm constantly being informed it's the Scots that are racist then I'm being told that London subsidies Scotland ... like we should all be be greatful for our bowl.of porridge ... then it's turned round to be my fault ... cause I've got the issue ...

    But no introspection from.yourself

Hey ... carry on ... we can see what your doing

Feeling like maybe you need to look inside before accusing others of racism Gen ... nothing more ... nothing less

I'm sure your a big enough man to take that on :)

Let's see if you do ;)

If you make a point I'll probably answer it. That's just a rant though.

While the rest of us just watch with incredulity as you metaphorically gorge yourself on the Westminster subsidy and also continuously try to bite that hand that feeds you.

Give it a rest for heavens sake.

Every person in Scotland is subsidised by the English to the tune of £1700 a year. I don't much care if you like that fact, or whether or not it hurts your pride, but it's reality.

And that's on top of the amount we'd have to borrow as a nation to keep our deficit to the same level as rUK.

If you want to get your chequebook out and cough up £1700 for each member of your household, so £6800 for a family of four, every year from now on then feel free.

But as at least half the country don't want to pay that price for independence then I suggest you figure out how to pay their extra costs as well...

You say you're angry, well guess what, so am I.

Your lot seem determined to cost us all an absolute fortune, and it appears most of you are completely ignorant of the consequences, being so wrapped up in senseless Nationalist pride and vanity you have no idea what a disaster it would be.

When I see you write a cheque to Westminster returning that subsidy each and every year then I'll let you moan about it in this thread without comment.

Until then, show a bit of humility, even if the gratitude you should be feeling is beyond your comprehension.

It's not that I can't work it out it's that I'm flabbergasted by your response to some maths.

It's not opinion. Londoners subsidise Scotland to the tune of about a billion quid. You can take offence at that or call me a racist or react in any way you choose. That doesn't mean that the taxes Scots pay come close to covering their expenditure even when you include Government borrowing.
