It's quite sad that a Tory / UKIP coalition is what you're betting the future of your country on.

You probably dismissed the Greens based on the headlines this week, but still view UKIP as a credible party. Bit mad, aren't we?

Not mad but switched on enough to know that the SNP spending other UK citizens money all the while kidding the Scots that Scotland is the home of social justice will not last forever.
As a republican I voted Green in the last Euro election, remember republicanism? I understand the SNP used to believe in it until they realised it didn't poll very well in Scotland.

Yep I got my copy today, bit light on pages, but at least they are good pages :)

You've got it bad. I hope the inevitable collapse of the SNP's socialist utopia up there won't be too disappointing for you.

Nah, I just read the newspapers and follow the news. An SNP/Labour formal coalition is extremely unlikely to happen. Neither wants it ( for the same reasons.. a fair proportion of their core supporters/voters won't buy it ). Mabye you should try reading further than the headlines next time ? When the newspapers are 'trumpeting' an SNP/Labour formal coalition.. they're trying to 'frighten the horses' in England into more votes for Tories. Nothing more.

Socialist utopia ?.. Are we back in referendum-land again instead of the general election ?
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

How dare the SNP have policies reflecting the attitudes of the people voting for them! And you think that's a bad thing? Wow.

I guess you've been fooled into thinking unpopular policies and these "tough choices" are good for you.

And you're switched on? I despair. I really do.

Website finally went live today also. And I see the Sunday Herald has increased it's circulation by 35% too. There's a pattern there, the Daily Record would be wise to start noting.

    The National.

I just checked it's popularity out on Alexa.

It is wee. With a 91% bounce rate.

    Switched on enough.
The Scottish penchant for English taxpayer funded public spending baubles dressed up as a progressive Scottish social democracy is the big lie of UK politics. You can kid yourself if you want but I won't believe that the Scots are somehow pre-wired to this mind set until the money is raised solely by Scots for Scots.

obviously you believe in more state spending and lower taxes :
    certainly what the voters want.

Difficult to see the negatives really.

Oooh check you out.. all bothered enough to actually check out Alexa rankings. ;) It's only been live for a few hours, some area's aren't live yet.. and only those 'following' on twitter got the 'heads up' today for feedback.. Of course it's 'wee'. The website should boost things up a notch though. The print version is doing fine, and online subscribers ( like me ) get it delivered digitally every day anyway. I think the thing most are looking forward to is simply being able to comment.. like other newspapers below the line.

But whatever, contrary to your post earlier, no the newspaper hasn't died a death. And is expanding it's 'reach'. As is the Sunday Herald. Happy to help you out with that one.

I think you're the one who's kidding onself on.. And attitudes like yours and endless 'funded by the English taxpayer' rants are exactly why 45% voted yes. The SNP and it's voters want you to keep your English taxpayer money in England. That's the whole point. And Scots keep theirs. Why would you be bothered about that scenario coming to fruition through devo-max or independence at all ?

You should be begging us all to vote SNP if that's the case, so they can gain exactly what you and all other 'hard pressed English taxpayers' want surely ? I can't see your problem..

I think the fact you think newspapers are an important barometer of the public mood says a lot about where you're coming from.

Think you might be out of touch.
