This has been pointed out to him several times by 'Higher Up's within the Scottish education system, and was once again on Sunday... but hey, why spoil a good SNP bad story with the real figures. The Wings story only popped up on my Twitter feed, because so many remembered Nelson making the same mistakes last time he wrote the ( same ) story.
Marr pointed it out himself, that many Scottish students study at FE colleges rather than Uni, immediately after the Nicola Sturgeon interview. Am glad you enjoy a nice cup of coffee rather than Marr. But it might also be worth your while not bothering much with Fraser Nelson articles/commentary on the SNP either while enjoying your cappuccino.
A tip from me - if you ask for a cappucino here (mallorca to be precise) you get a coffee which has a HUGE dollop of creme on it plus often some chocolate. It sounds nice but it's actually quite sickly. I will cost too, maybe 2x to 3x as much as "cafe con leche" which what I normally get. Normally I pay between €1.30 to €1.90.
It's strange how different coffee can be in different countries.
I really like the Spanish variety but I have get back to Dorset next week and expensive non-coffee.Union, not Disunion
I have a Right Wing and a Left Wing.
It's the only way to fly straight.0 -

What did you say I sounded 'awfy' like earlier?
You've just been called out again for making made up claims and getting het up about it.
Oh and having your leg pulled for having a faux Scottish accent which bizarrely manifests itself in the written word which I've not come across before.0 -

The Scottish Executive, under existing powers, have allocated funding so that it will not be applied in Scotland.
http://www.snp.org/media-centre/news/2015/feb/new-figures-underline-snp-action-bedroom-tax
The bedroom tax was introduced by Labour in 2007 when they introduced the local housing allowance for private lets- the tories extended it to social housing
The Scottish Government have allocated funds from elsewhere in their block grant ( no magic money tree at the Scottish Government as they aren't allowed to overspend).
So Scotland can't scrap the bedroom tax but they can pay money to alleviate it ( so much for more powers).baldly going on...0 -

interesting that the SNP fairer more equal society doesn't alleviate the 'tax ' for private tenant but only for council tenants irrespective of need.0 -

They're introducing rent controls instead. Don't worry. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

Looking forward to the finer details. Hopefully will pave the way for the rest of the UK.0 -

how does that make the situation fair and more equal?
good news about the rent controls : will be a wonderful example for the rest of the UK0 -

When the posts start getting personal and about 'you' having to justify yourself instead of concentrating on the topic. Just ignore it. It's not worth the bother.
My husband is from Portsmouth. And he's picked up some phrases and things too. With a Scottish wife, living in Scotland with all the kids having my accent it's been difficult not to.. He sounds really funny saying them in his Pompey accent as well ( he love's 'heid the ba' )..It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

Fill your boots.
8 October 2015Campaigners have welcomed the publication of proposed legislation that would give councils the ability to introduce rent controls in areas where there are "excessive" increases.
The Scottish Government's Private Housing (Tenancies) Bill was hailed by Shelter Scotland as "the biggest move forward in private tenancy law" in 25 years...The Bill aims to protect 700,000 private-sector tenants from unfair eviction and unpredictable rent increases....
If passed, landlords will no longer be able to ask tenants to leave simply because a tenancy has reached its end date, known as the "no-fault" ground.
Rent increases will be limited to one per year with three months' notice and councils will be able to apply to ministers to cap the levels of rent increases for tenants in rent pressure zones. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0
