Salmond and Sturgeon Want the English Fish for More Fat Subsidies

I'm not sure if you saw Mr Cameron's speech outside No. 10 but he made it very clear that he sees himself as PM of the UK, not of England. I thought it was quite a good speech actually from someone I don't rate highly as a public speaker.
I've not seen it yet, but did catch the headline to that effect.
Question is, how can he engage with the whole of the UK?
Sir Tom Hunter made a suggestionsAfter the results were all in, leading businessman Sir Tom Hunter suggested Mr Cameron should offer the post of Scottish Secretary to Mr Salmond.
Sir Tom said: "It's now time for David Cameron to offer Alex Salmond the Secretary of State for Scotland position.
"The Prime Minister has said his priority is the Union and Nicola Sturgeon has offered the hand of friendship across the UK - this would test both intentions and would reflect the democratic will of the people."
I doubt that would or could happen:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach.

Boris Johnson saidThere has to be some kind of federal offer. Everybody needs to take a deep breath and think about how we want the UK to progress.:wall:

Nicola Sturgeon has placed PR in the SNP manifesto.
We have a form of PR for the Scottish elections.
P.S. It was not my suggestion, I said I doubt it could or would happen.
It was Sir Tom Hunters suggestion:wall:

They all need to step back; take stock of the situation; and go from there.
What's the rush to appoint anyone?
We've chosen the MPs. Let them have a chance to do their job.
Generali made a good point a while back - a few of them have got a lot of learning to do.0 -
Ok guys and gals.
Toodle loo.
Have a great weekend:wall:

I was pointing out how absurd it would be to appoint some-one to be a minister in a conservative government
-who was dedicated to breaking up the UK
-believed in borrowing as the answer to most problems
-wants poor people to subsidise the rich to go to Uni
-wants to get rid of trident
It would be equivalent to Nicola appointing people dedicated to the union, wanting to abolish Holyrood, wanting to reduce spending and borrowing and wanting a balanced budget etc
(nothing at all to do with her support for PR)
Sit Tom Hunter may be a successful businessman and philanthropist and able to spend £1 million on his 40th birthday party but he shows little understand of politics or any common sense or maybe he is simply has a sense of humour.0 -
Every Select committee ? That's interesting; that will keep them busy.
That's my understanding.
Don't forget there's the best part of 60 SNP MPs so that's one and a bit each perhaps.0 -

Actually over 50% did vote SNP0
