There is no equivalent in NI, Wales, England of the all persuasive Scottish 'anyone but the English'.

Clapton, I wonder if you think the term debate is actually a street term of "de bait"

A long time ago I decided not to engage in your fishing attempt and clear hatred towards Scots that makes you constantly wish to create an us and them scenario based on a hatred agenda.

    Good day to you

As with any constituency, the electorate vote for the party whom they believe acts in their best interests.

    Please don't twist my words.

The leadership are clearly adopting a divide and rule mindset. You just need to look at what a lot of putative SNP MPs have written in the recent past to see that.

The SNP plan to render the UK nonviable and quit a sinking ship they've put a hole in.

Unfortunately voters in Scotland, and I suspect in England too, are starting to fall for it.

I have never expressed dislike for the Scots and I always support their teams unless they are playing other home nations.

Only the Scots have a wide spread 'anyone but the English' attitude.

But best not to confront this attitude or think about things like that or indeed the unfair treatment of the people of Yorkshire.

I believe your blinkered view may be misinformed, but we've been over this a long time ago and I have no desire to go round the mulberry bush with you again

    Good day Sir.

Why does the truth upset you so much?

Is fairness, honesty and decency part of your agenda?
well no, the only thing that matters is independence from the people south of you; not that you don't love them truely.

What everyone is upset about is the idea of having people in parliament who are promising to disrupt it and want nothing more than to no longer be part of it.

I still say the whole of the UK should be allowed to vote in an independence referendum.

but what everyone that is upset about needs to understand that the people we choose are the people we want to represent us... suck it up buttercup ;)

and ermmmm nope the question regarding independence is the right of the people that want independence... by all means maybe England should have an independence referendum ... help yourselves :)

Are you not falling into the trap of conflating a risk-free vote for the SNP in a GE with the somewhat riskier step into the dark of voting YES in any future indyref?

For some people one is a means to gain the other

It seems unlikely that there has been a massive swing to 'Yes!' in a few short months.

it didnt need to be massive though and remember contrary to popular belief there are a lot of people that wanted devo max that are now not getting it, not everyone that voted yes wanted independence, my son for example wants devo max not independence, he voted yes though ... so there are many unknowns as well as many knowns :)

    I am not upset.

I could debate that the truth you refer to is a microcosm of politics and you need to consider and understand the wider concepts and implications, but you have clearly demonstrated that you only wish to repeatedly focus on the macro politics which suit your agenda

    I have no agenda.

I do believe in a fairer and more decent society to live in.

Incidentally, with all politicians, you have to delve behind the headlines and one-liners to truly understand what the truth is. I find it hard to take any politician at face value with regards to the honesty part you refer to.

For too long, politicians have believed they need to "spin" a debate or fact to their own agenda.

How refreshing it would be to have a politician / party who is truly open, honest and transparent (incidentally, I don;t believe any of them are)

Now, now, that's the hatred starting to come out of you again, but please do not insinuate my words or beliefs. That's for me to portray.

If I believed we are / would be better together, then I probably would be more inclined to remain in the union.

Thus far, I have not seen enough "fairness" you refer to to distributing wealth and policies throughout the UK.

The two party system has for too long been to centralised around London.

I understand that, because a huge part of the electorate reside there and hence their focus on that, but an ideal government would be considering the whole of the UK, not just where they believe the voters lie.
