That's possible.
But I could think of a dozen or more reasons why he would be right not to deal with that offence at that time.
Can you name 5?I'm not particularly surprised that these reasons didn't surface to the polluted mire of your consciousness.
:rotfl: What makes you think I have one! :rotfl:PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -
Can you name 5?
To return to base to equip for a public order job
To return to base for a briefing
To return to base to collect a colleague for any non emergency job that required double crewing
To return to base to get computer based intelligence for his next job.
To return to interview a person at the station.
To obtain a witness statement at the station
Etc etcWhat makes you think I have one! :rotfl:Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler.0 -

To be honest, if he was in anyway interested in traffic they could have waited five while he gave out a ticket.
More likely reasons are
It was time to go home.
It was time to eat.
He was lazy.
He couldn't give a toss.0 -

We just don't know.
In terms of policing priority, it's pretty far down the list, especially for non rpu. But I don't know many frontline officers not on rpu that don't have jobs stacking up.Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler.0 -

I don't disagree they have jobs stacking up but part of the reason is they are coasting and doing their best to avoid any jobs they can.0 -

Did you think I said 'conscience' rather than consciousness? Otherwise your comment is just silly.
I now know you are a real policeman! No sense of humour! But thanks for the list. Just proves that it will take a long time to educate the drivers putting the lives of the kids using the crossing then. As SM says, pity as it would only take a few minutes to write out a ticket.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. That's after, you've located the driver, asked them to move to a safe location to deal with them.0 -

So you have a different experience to mine.
What is that experience?Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler.0 -

Often, especially with a zig zag offence, it can take some time, because you need to speak to the driver who may not be there. If there are other priorities, it may be inappropriate to deal with such an offence.Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler.0
