It's not worded very well on Quidco is it?smallgingerone wrote: »Does anyone know if you have to start the switch as soon as you open the account?
My 'guess' would be you had to initiate the switch during the application process...all in one session, but it's only a guess.
The offer looks to have been extended to 13th February, so hopefully that'll give you enough time?I have a couple of switches to other banks that I am waiting for the payout on.0 -
Offer extended. See above post.inspireme247 wrote: »You better hurry up as the cashback expires tomorrow.0 -

It's not worded at all clearly but I can confirm that the cashback tracks even if a Reward account isn't opened - the thing that triggers the cashback tracking is filling in the form that appears when clicking the link through Quidco. Filling it in multiple times makes the cashback track multiple times, although clearly only one will be confirmed by Halifax and the others will be declined.
For Halifax to confirm the cashback though, an account obviously has to be opened and switched to. As it doesn't say that a switch has to be completed straight after applying (merely that you need to be eligible for the £100) you can only assume that the cashback will be paid if the details you've filled in on the form that comes before the application match a current account and switch completed that was opened and initiated (at the same time or not) after the form was filled in and after the £100 incentive is credited.0 -
Mine tracked 9/12/14, switch complete 18/12/14, still no change on Quidco.
Received the £100 incentive on the 19/12/14.0 -
Thanks for the help yesterday, i opened the account last night. With regards to the switch itself, does anyone know if you need to switch any DDs. I know you need them to get the £5 pm but do they need to go over with the old account? The T&Cs don't mention it, but i want to make sure.0

There's your answer then.smallgingerone wrote: »The T&Cs don't mention it

So just to clarify then.... alls you need to do then to claim the £100 switching incentive is to just use CASS to close your old account
I have an old account I am looking to get shot off but it has not got any Direct Debits or anything on it. It simply has a balance of £1.17 lol
Oh actually I could get rid of my staff bank account after the 5 February and have my salary paid into it and claim the monthly £5.00.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0
