Possible to get £40 Quidco on top of £100 bonus on Halifax Reward Current Account?

This £40 Halifax Quidco cashback invariably tracks early in the morning after the day you click through. Know 2 people who've done this.0

I will miss the deadline for this because 2 DD's will not be active until 26th

Emailed Quidco about this, they said there will be new offer with Halifax after 17th but they don't know what this cashback rate will be.
I doubt it will be more than £40. We'll see!You will only fail to learn if you do not learn from failing.

Are you sure you need 2 DDs by the the 26th? Why the 26th? If you do really need them, why can't you have them active by the 26th? Tesco savings accounts are very quick with DDs.inspireme247 wrote: »I will miss the deadline for this because 2 DD's will not be active until 26th

You don't need to switch DDs for either the £100 or the £40 do you?inspireme247 wrote: »I will miss the deadline for this because 2 DD's will not be active until 26th
If you get the £100 you'll automatically get the £40 Quidco incentive is how it reads to me.
The DDs are required for the ongoing free fivers though.0 -
There's a stupid/incorrect clause on the Quidco offer which might explain the confusion:To open a Halifax Reward Current Account you need to set up at least two different direct debits and pay in at least £750 each month. You also need to be over 18 and a UK resident.
The first bit is obviously totally incorrect as it is not supported by the Halifax Reward Current Account T&Cs.0 -
Are you referring to the word "open"?There's a stupid/incorrect clause on the Quidco offer which might explain the confusion:

It would be wholly accurate if it was replaced with the word "hold"...because the T&Cs do (or did) say they'll downgrade the Reward account to a 'Current Account' if you stop meeting the T&Cs.0 -
Yes
And there is plenty of evidence on the forum that Halifax don't actually enforce the downgrading that their T&Cs entitle them to. They just don't pay the fivers.0 -

I use Tesco savings for DDs. It takes 10 working days to appear on my bank to see their active DDs, hence 26th.YorkshireBoy wrote: »You don't need to switch DDs for either the £100 or the £40 do you?

Are you saying if I apply now with no DDs, I will successfully get a Reward current account and their £100 incentive? DDs has nothing with these, only with £5 every month? I can do this by getting DDs through halfway and get £5, starting next month? You will only fail to learn if you do not learn from failing.

From their website...inspireme247 wrote: »Are you saying if I apply now with no DDs, I will successfully get a Reward current account and their £100 incentive? DDs has nothing with these, only with £5 every month? I can do this by getting DDs through halfway and get £5, starting next month?
Ergo, if you don't pay out two DDs (or don't pay in £750, or go overdrawn) you just won't get your fiver for the first month. We’ll give you £5 for each month that you pay in £750, pay out two different direct debits and stay in credit
So, in short, the answer to your question is yes, provided you switch into the account via the CASS.0 -

Great, thank you. I have just phoned Halifax about this.
So I can apply a Reward account through Quidco with no DDs (I will set it up when the account is opened - means I will miss a fiver for the first month) and do a switch.
The Quidco cashback will be applied if they receive my application by 17th. I will do this tonight
