Yes, listen to this from the vw owner (and Lexus, and BMW, and Audi, and Toyota)....0 -

If you like the looks of the Honda, get a 2001-2005 Honda Civic 1.4 petrol
Which is over a foot wider and nearly 2 foot longer than the i10 she mentioned.0 -

To be honest most cars (that inherently don't had bad electronics like the Mercs in the early 2000's or some French cars) can be reliable mechanically if they are looked after properly, i.e. serviced at the correct intervals. Yes even a BMW E46 or E92 M3 can go well over 100k miles trouble free if its been looked after.0 -
What annoys me now days is that a lot of cars are bought on lease or finance so the owners don't look after their car. I've been to Car Giant and many of the cars didn't even have a single oil change since they came out of the show room and some have done well over 30k.
The key to saving money is regular maintenance.0 -

No arguments

If Toyota a yaris may be worth a look.
Have heard good things about the i10.
I prefer bigger cars, so not too clued up on supermini's.
Peachorlemon was always an interesting site for car reviews.0 -

But you shouldn't overtake in either of those.
