  • So if the default date is the 31st it comes of that day or the day before?? I just wanted to be 100% sure and find out if it's to the day or the day before.

I have never checked my credit report so much as I have this past few weeks... I'm definitely getting my £14.99's worth lol.
  • If the default date is the 31st it will be off your report on the 1st. Also that is only for experian. Equifax can take a few days. I had to ring equifax to take mine off
  • Broker is kindly working on a sunday and hopefully.....fingers crossed.... I have a DIP with nationwide :( anxious wait for him to ring me back
  • Broker rang back with good news. ACCEPT :-). Card details given for valuation :-)
  • That's Brilliant; I am going at 09:30 to see mine tomorrow....Lets hope that we also get a decision in principle.

You were right and my dodgy account dropped off this morning/last night.

Other than my two defaults the only other account that I have which shows late payments is one from 2009 with Orange. I called them yesterday and they advised that they couldn't locate the account so would remove the entries from my credit report by 1pm today so maybe that will also be off in time for tomorrow.
  • Fingers crossed for you. Good luck!
  • Hiya,

If you don't mind me asking; is your credit record good now the default was removed or do you have any further issues?

I am just worrying that the old defaults may affect my nationwide application.

I understand that just because one person is accepted it doesn't mean that everyone is.

Also on the DIP does it tell you what product they are giving you ie fixed rate for x% over term x monthly payments x??

Its just I haven't applied for a mortgage for 10 years so haven't a clue. lol

You don't reserve a product at DIP stage.

That's the next stage, the first part of the full application process.

  • Ok thank-you, is it possible to do the DIP and full application on the same day? I was hoping to take everything needed so that I could get it done tomorrow.

    Cheers

You've had an offer accepted and a sale agreed on a property and didn't get a DIP first?

The DIP is the first part of the application. You build from that, through product reservation to final submission and upload documents.
