  • Another thing that annoyed me was the narrator saying "dogs can be neutered at any age, they are never too old". Maybe not but what about too young? More and more vets are saying they should not be neutered until they are fully grown as it can cause problems with joints, bones, hormones and thyroid.

    Agree with that. In fact, I've had issues with vets in the past, and one nurse in particular pretty much assuming I am neutering my dogs and already booking the appointment at six months as if it was a given. Both of my boys are intact, and will stay that way unless a heath condition requires it otherwise. Testosterone is involved in telling the body to stop growing as well as grow, and neutered dogs quite often grow taller as a result which can cause problems. I like my dogs as nature intended until nature decides otherwise. In fact, It still bugs me that my dogs have had their dew claws removed before I got them, but at least they have their tails and ears.
