I think I should have set my sights a bit higher as nearly clear!

I've made £153.49 so far in total leaving only £15.23 to go!

I'll clear that easy this week as still waiting to do 2 x £25 free bets which should clear me another £48-£49 depending on the odds.

Thanks for spuring me on to do this challenge. Would never have dipped my toes into matchbetting otherwise!

Well I managed to save a bit over the weekend, combined up all of my ebaying and underspends and paid off £200 - half way there. Today, managed to get on to a focus group for £30 so only £170 to go - hurrah!

Well done everyone so far - and thanks for this challenge, its great to have something to keep motivated throughout the month.

Not doing very well at the moment, I'm still waiting for payment from my most expensive Ebay item so I can't withdraw any money from Paypal until that gets paid, I haven't received any of the prizes I am waiting for (waiting for prizes worth over £500 in value!! Some from back in May!!) and I haven't been able to pay any more off my Barclaycard today.

On the brighter side, the Ebay items I listed last night have already got over £20.

Well I paid off Mothercare card today and best off all it has knocked another month off my debt free date now only 55 months to go.

I have put £5 towards Capital One as I am doing the pound for a pound challenge and lost at slimming today. I am planning on underspending on my food budget again this week as my cupboards and freezer are heaving.

    Good Luck everyone. x x

    Morning everyone

I have managed to pay another £20 off the Barclaycard today. I could have paid more but I need some money for a few mystery shops I've got coming up so when I get that money back again, I will be able to pay it off (hopefully by the end of the month).

Fingers crossed for some prizes today!! :D

Please can anyone help me with a few things- how long do you set your ebay sales for? What sells well- at the moment my things seem to sell for pennies :(
What competitions do you enter to win all these prizes- or are you just really lucky??

Also, with quidco & Rpoints do you end up getting loas of junk mail sent to you when you register for different things?
How do you become members of focus groups?
    Sorry for all the questions.

I have been watching this challenge with interest, maybe I'll join one soon :o

    Thanks in advance!!

  • Penguin thats brilliant. Must feel good to have 1 month less as well. Thats what will happen with me too if I manage to pay this all off. I think that feels great when your snowball shows a closer date.
Emylou I sell mostly clothes on e-bay. The designer labels go really well and you can sometimes get a fair bit for them. Larger sizes sell well also. I normally list for 10 days over 2 weekends and quite often sell my stuff in bundles. I always start the bidding at £0.99 as its cheaper and I take the hit if that what the stuff sells for. I have sold dance costumes and dearer outfits and would start them at a minimum cost as I am not prepared for them to be sold for buttons tbh. Good luck.x
