    Morning all

Pouring with rain here so I've got a load of washing draped round upstairs. So glad I did three loads yesterday and cut the grass.

The PC desk was done earlier in the week because it's in the hallway.

I soaked the bath in hot water and bio washing powder for a couple of hours this morning and I have now cleaned the toilet, sink and bath thoroughly and washed the floors.

Vacuumed through downstairs AND I FINALLY REMEMBERED TO DO THE STAIRS!!! :D

Somebody I chat to on another site sent me some of her home grown runner beans by post and they came this morning. Aren't people lovely? I'm really looking forward to these, I could eat just a bowl of runner beans on their own (with butter of course). Probably have to have them Saturday as it's the first time we'll be home together to eat.

Morning all, Michelle pleased to hear you’re feeling better, Shell is right..

DS2 in bad books, he just stood banging a screw driver into the table, holes now in the surface, pleased it isn’t varnished so can hopefully sand them out, but will also be telling DP off for leaving it lying around when he gets in.

Done some dailies but not much else, DP gone to get wood so I’m supposed to be emptying the dreaded ‘everything falls out when you open it’ cupboard, but he’s also calling over to his Mother’s so am catching up here first.

Here goes my list for the day, I think it’s everything but yet again done a list and can’t find it. Will add any I have missed if/when I find it

    Dailies left
    [STRIKE]
    Vacuum and mop thorugh downstairs
    Clear kitchen benches and wipe
    Meals and washing up
Dogs walked/out on fields with ball

  • Hello again,

I'm supposed to be using the internet for some academic stuff - but it would be rude not to drop by and say hello!

I hope everyone is managing to get going this morning. There definitely seems to be some sort of sluggish bug in the air!

Shock horror - I've just had to go and water some of our apple trees in pots. It's so long since I had to do that I'd forgotten where the watering can is!

Michelle - glad you're feeling a bit better and I hope you manage to take time to enjoy the next couple of weeks.

Shell - are you out of those PJs yet?

Right I'd better do what I set out to do - otherwise it will be lunch-time and I'll have got nowhere.

    Catch you later

Hey 7WW please to advised I now have joggy pants and tshirt on (and a bra now so instant improvement - lol!

Bathroom cleaned, didnt take long as S & S Daily. Kids wanted to go outside and blow bubbles so spend half hour out there with them plus they went on the trampoline so hopefully some energy expelled as definately looks like rain due at any mo here.

We then came in and did some of the popcorn kernels we bought yesterday. I think we may have sorted their crisp addiction (get that from DH). Plain old popcorn not flavoured or anything - go figure! They are both currently watching The Land Before Time munching lunch and requested another bowl of popcorn.

Took joint of pork out for tea but dont think it will be defrosted in time for tea so looks like it will be HM burgers. DH will be happy but DD1 will be gutted as was looking forward to her roast ie dinner with extra brocolli.

Should do some baking but not sure if I can be bothered! Oh I am having a lazy day I am blaming the lack of sunshine today (nothing to do with DD1's waking habits last night).

Right off for a mooch around as littles happy eating for 5 mins.

Afternoon all. Been to my lottie this morning, got back before the rain. Nice bags of pots and some sweet peas and an unusual item growing - my sunglasses which I had misplaced. Lottie is getting out of control again and I cannot decide whether to give up or give half up or just plant more so I don't have to weed so much.

    To the list:
    Thursday Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
    Level One
Clear any clutter from desk this is more than a level one job!
    Level Two
    Clear clutter from floor
    Clean bath, toilet and sink
    Dust PC and desk
    Level Three
    Vacuum/sweep and mop these rooms
Wipe keyboard and mouse (these usually have more germs on than your toilet so important)

    Extra mission:
Pick whichever you want to attempt
    • Clean windows in today's rooms DS2 did this yesterday
    • Clean any light fittings and switches in these rooms
    • phone optition
    • dust DS3 room then that one is done
    • Hoover master bedroom left over from yesterday

I'm feeling quite chuffed with myself as I've managed to get through cleaning the bath room in record time. So much so that I decided that my "Archers task" would be to have a go at the grouting in the tiles around the bath. I set to with a toothbrush and some neat Starclens in a little pot. I dipped the toothbrush into the starclens and then scrubbed away at the grouting. 15 minutes later I just showered off everything - and there is a major improvement. I reckon one more shot tomorrow should finish it off. That'll mean that the sealant is the only really grotty thing in the bathroom- and we've got plans to redo that when DH is off in a couple of weeks.

Plus I managed to knock a few tedious little tasks off my list.

Mind you - my academic stuff is suffering. My supervisor has gone awol and I could do with his advice on a couple of things. I've sent him a couple of emails but no reply yet  .

Right, time to put some smart clothes on and get ready to head into town and to meet up with colleagues.

    Have a fun afternoon everyone,
    7WW
