I'll be chuffed if I get it done in 6 months. It will be stop start here though. Other areas of life go on and I am restricted by health.
I haven't finished clothes yet.0 -

Phew Lostinrates, I thought it was just me going slow!
No.
I'd hoped to do more clothes this week, but have been unwell yesterday and today and have my builders in tomorrow, so even if I felt well enough, ( which will be doubt ful) don't really want to to be carrying clothes around, plus I have chores to catch up on. Then rest of the week I'm going to have to make good after builders being in if I am up to anything......
A week where NO progress is made in life at all,.

Another making slow progress here. Two part time jobs plus a poorly teenager who needs quite a bit of care and all the usual domestic stuff doesn't leave much free time! Six months is my aim.
What a joy to put the laundry away neatly tonight though instead of trying to cram it into drawers and cupboards!0 -
I have just spent a very happy evening going through all my fat quarters and fabric pieces and rolling them all individually, then tying with salvaged ribbons. They are back their basket now and all give me joy. I have thoroughly enjoyed the process and they look so much more inspiring rolled rather than flat. They are like old friends0

I got home from work early today & ventured up into the loft to look for hidden summer clothes.
While up there I came across the "papers I've archived" box and decided to tackle that. I found it hard going to be honest. I shifted quite a lot and wished I could just throw it all but, like others have said, there are some documents that you really do have to retain. In amongst the practical documents was a collection of notebooks and mementoes pretty much all of which related to sad events in my life - bereavements etc. They did not spark joy so they are all now in the recycling bin. These ones I did say thanks & goodbye to. It was very emotional - I was quite shaky while I was doing it & feel wrung-out now. Hoping I'll feel the benefits tomorrow. I definitely need a break from paper related kondo-ing.Shifting my energy for 20200 -

Rainy Days
I found after clearing out my kitchen ( filled my dining room with kitchen stuff then put back bare essentials.) I love being in there now. Ive lost a bit of weight too dont know if it's connected but I am eating more regular meals without dieting. I know what I have so shopping is a lot easier.
Thursday night i make a flexible weekly menu then a shopping list from that. I try to make the effort to put the kitchen to bed by 7pm every night. Everyone has been fed and watered plenty by then so apart from a cuppa before bed its rarely getting untidy
Weekends are different with everyone doing their own thing
but its keeping a lot more tidy even then.
Just three of us here so I put 4 of every thing in easy reach
4 glasses 4 cups 4 plates, 4 pieces of cutlery and so on. If anyone else turns up there are a few spares but a bit more out of reach.
Ive found that has helped.
"Mam! Where are all the drinking glasses?"
" Well.......there's two in your bedroom to be washed!":D
"Ok":(”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)
Put on some lipstick
and pull yourself together”

Things slowed down here too...........back at work after week off so lots to catch up there and TBH my energy levels are still low so just coming home doing the minimum then going to bed. DD2 also been ill this week - first day back at school since Thursday today. Hoping to be back in the Kondo groove at the weekend.......work just got silly busy and I need some space at home to think about itBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Great to see you back jinny. Hope you are still going to 'milk it' in the sympathy stakes today! As is every mum's right.
I'm feeling like some of the others. I see so many things that need to be tidied and kondoed but life and work get in the way. Mind you, DD2 (7yrs) found two plastic bags in the kitchen and ran to get them before I could get near them. 'Mummy can I samosa them pleeeease?' Yep, be my guest. She even samosa'd an empty crisp packet before it went into the bin as it would take up less space.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D
