Could you email them and explain? They obviously have you recorded as an owner which should be sufficient proof of ownership. You might be able to get a refund/ replacement model.
I get rid of appliance paperwork when the appliance itself goes. Whatever our glorious leaders says about paperwork, I just don't feel safe with such a scorched earth policy.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

It seems more and more products are having to be recalled these days.
It would have been headlines at one time.
I will never use electric fairy lights again after a family in our street narrowly escaped the house fire than burned most of their home due to tree lights.
They had bought them at a reputable store and were upstairs bathing their children so not even out of the house.
I use battery lights I just buy loads of batteries.”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)

 OMG, greenbee, that's an awesome list of home improvements. Will be lovely when all finished, tho.De-lurking, to say how my Dad did his concrete floor, first off he mixed PVA glue and water and painted it on the concrete to stop damp coming up, when that dryed he got the foil coated underlay to reflect the heat back up through the carpet, then layed the carpet, unless it got realy cold he kept the heating off, but when we went to visit it never felt cold, sometimes it was cool, but not cold, like where is the nearest radiator to sit on.hth.PollyWollyDoodle wrote: »Crumbs Greenbee you sound as if you've done loads, living through all that can't have been easy! I'm really bad at getting things done, I put up with defects for ages mainly due to the difficulty of finding reliable workmen. I had a fabulous do-everything builder but he's retired.
When it's all done you'll be glad you Kondoed all the random stuff! Hope your dream house isn't too far away now.
I now have a fabulous do-everything builder, so need to get the house finished before he retires! Actually, I need to chase him for dates for the next lot of work. My dad keeps saying I can get everything done by next Christmas, but doesn't understand that as I work from home as well as live here, my tolerance for having builders around is limited. It's always nice to see them go  However, I'm now recovered enough to contemplate getting them back for a couple of weeks, so have to get hold of him and book the next couple of bits in - I've got some work travel coming up, so hopefully some of it can be done while I'm away (also means someone is keeping an eye on things while I'm not here, even if they are making mess...)
Lovely new bathroom is now spotless. As is the scruffy old ensuite and the bedroom (well, those two are as spotless as I can get them in their current state). I've brought in logs and kindling but I'm not keen to go back outside. Old fence panels make great kindling, but I've nearly finished that - I have a load of old floorboards (from the bathroom) in the garage waiting for me to chop them up for kindling. Half also need the nails removing...0 -
Jo4, sorry to hear about your loss.
Today we have started to pack ready to move in 4 weeks time, so far we have managed to kondo:

* A bag of shredded paper was emptied at Mr T's recycling
* OH has continued to sort out the garageNo toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23

Lots of luck in your new home Becky
And everyone else who is in a new place.
When I read about people with wood burning stoves and fires I have serious envy I love real fires. Living in a flat it isn't possible oh well one day”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)

Greenbee, thats amazing! Though I know what you mean about working from home and having builders in. An extra issue for me is having clients in - they just don't mix with builders, no matter how nice the builders are! Its tricky, because this place needs some replastering (and therefore painting) but I can't take the stress of that till after I retire ... ah well.
Kondo news: 2 bin bags of clippings from the front garden border. It will be nice. It *will* be nice.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hello again after a long absence. Been reading, though ;-)
I've actually started with the paperwork. Absolutely dull, but I have no sentimental attachment to paperwork.
Much of the reason for my paper pile was the fact that I kept burning through shredders. I just couldn't keep up. So I bought a professional office biggie. It is huge, but quiet and very efficient. Several sacks worth have gone through. More is in the process of being done ( the filing cabinet), but after that it will be maintenance rather than catch-up.
Clothes are going to be aa BIG problem, as are books. They are my Achilles heel.
I have read so often on these pages of posters having fatigue problems, exhaustion, brain fog. That was me too for about 5 years. After traipsin back and forth to the doctor and fobbed off with happy pills, they eventually referred me to a Chronic Fatigue / ME clinic. I knew that this was incorrect. I know my own body well enough to know that there was a real physical cause to my horrendous fatigue ( bed-ridden). The GPs couldn't find it, I had to find the cause. Through sheer determination I tracked down an Endocrinologist who realised that I had non-standard hypothyroidism that the GPS had missed repeatedly for years.
A year on, with the proper medication in place, my life is getting back together.
I am writing this because I really want to help all of you out there whose lives are being limited by fatigue. For me, it was hypothyroidism ( Thyroid UK and HealthUnlocked are fantastic resources and helped me get my life back). For others it might be the wrong contraception, or food intolerances, or even the wrong glasses prescription. Just because your GP cannot find anything and you have been fobbed off with ME, don't give up! There CAN be reasons and they CAN be fixed, but you have to do the legwork unfortunately as the GP /NHS system is hopeless with TATT.0 -
Still have not Kondoed my clothes. I know I will need two days to go them through and just can't face having things lying around for more than a day now.
On a happy note, took two bags to CS today, although it only made a small dent on books that I need to take in. Only bought Xmas pressies today (oh and a bottle of wine which will be kondoed tonight :rotfl:)
I was tempted to get couple of tops from CS, but whilst looking at them was thinking that my clothes are still to be kondoed so didn't get them... Looking forward to next weekend already - it's a long one so might get clothes done then and finish painting the wardrobes while I'm at it..well, that's the plan anyhow... :A0 -

All too familiar story with GPsSometimes they forget to listen to the patient - or there is a chance that they have had to refer other people with similar symptoms to same place before, so it may look like the 'obvious' route to take..
