I am still havering about buying the book.....our library doesn't have it and it goes against the MSE grain somewhat......

I wonder if they might buy it in if you ask them. I know all areas are different but even with the cutbacks our library has signs asking for recommendations of books they could add and I know personally they do action upon it.

Good luck today jinny, hope all goes well.OMG that would make me a size 18 in old money!

Maybe it's just a Next thing? I have plenty of stuff from my late teens and I agree sizes have changed (M&S seems far more generous, for example) but to that extent...?

I was shocked...I thought now I am a size 6 that skirt will be too big. I could only just do it up:eek:

I have ranger rolled the towels this morning. I just need to put them away and clear up all the piles I have made for the bin and CS.

froglina (hope I have got the right name) sorry to hear about your dolls house. I think that is why I am reluctant to get rid of any of my ds's stuff as I know my mum gave away things of mine to friends and family which I would have like to pass on to my boys - although maybe I am keeping a bit too much and it really needs to be kondoed:)

I have Kondo'd my sports and walking gear. I have kept a scruffy soft cotton pair of bottoms because I associate them with comfort when I am poorly. I suppose that counts as bringing me joy:think:

Waterproof walking trousers are such a pain to store because the fabric is so slippy they don't stay folded. I tried ranger rolling them but what seems to work best is samosa-ing them.

The rest is gone! with a little thank you, of course

Thank you for the suggestion to samosa trousers. They have been driving me nuts trying to ranger roll them. Samosas here I come!

My parents bought us a c o d with removable changing table when ds1 was born. The changing table bit has lonf since gone but the c o d has been in every room in the house:rotfl:

This rings so true. I have a c o d that was in my room when I was a baby (I assume it was used for changing as there wasn't much room in the room and this was the main piece of furniture). It has been with me now for 5 homes (even though I think my 'main home' when I was a child it was in my dad's study). It is one of the first things I imagine where to put when thinking about any future homes - although it's bashed to pieces and has been repainted goodness knows how many times :rotfl:

    Thank you bunbun2

One thing I still have is the crib which I was in as a baby. It was used by my children and other members of the family. It is a wicker one, which was purchased not made, but it is lovely and now has some dolls in it, including one I was given by my mum and dad. She is rather damaged, her eyes which were removable have now been lost. My eldest also bit on her fingers, so she does not have the full complement, but I'd never get rid of my first doll or the crib.
