Beware the oils marking clothes.
Maybe an open ziplock bag, would provide some protection?
I've got over nearly 50 bars of glycerine and lavender (Original Source) soap. I stockpiled it 9 years ago, because it is the only soap I've ever found that suits my skin, and the manufacturers stopped making it! Each tablet is sealed in heavy gauge plastic and I love opening a new one, the lavender oil is as powerful as the day it was made. On the other hand, ithe packaging is an obstacle to perfuming drawers! :rotfl:
I've always found that fats and oils are unlikely to leach out in a well made and totally saponified soap. Storing such a soap in a plastic bag goes against the grain and surely would defeat the purpose of both hardening the soap and scenting the drawer contents?
Delivered about 200 items to a nearly new sale venue tonight. Hopefully there will be a lot less of them to collect tomorrow afternoon! People have seen them and said you want to get rid of them they will eat all your plants. Who cares if they eat my plants they will grow again. They will make holes in the grass.Who cares I will fill them in again. The rabbits are not your problem its my garden my grass why do you feel you have to give an opinion.
They bring me joy who cares what you think and does it really matter if they are living there they are happy and content. So they are bl**dy well staying !

I love the attitude..How empowered this Kondoing makes us feel! Getting our lives together the way we want them...Go us!!!!0 -
morning all. Today I start a long overdue attempt at Kondoing our house. I've gradually become aware of just how much clutter I've accumulated over the years, and certainly of the things I no longer (or even never) use. At present, I can't say I'm relishing the thought of sorting through everything, but I know I'll feel much better afterwards.0

Just popped to say when I took some clothes to the CS I'd put them in one of those nice zipped plastic bags (I think it had curtains in it originally) the lady asked if I wanted the bag back & I refused without even thinking about it. Kondoing is definitely filtering through lol!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Sorry Iqueen i couldn't resist it,
i really do have a terrible sense of humour
regards
Didnt pass me by eitherSo funny and a great sense of humour tooties :T
iTwin is right about reading the bible you really cant kondo without it but you can declutter which is not the same as I dont think your mindset changes as much as kondoing
But if you are waiting to get your sticky mitts on the book.Get decluttering as it will make it easier once the bible is read. You will be able to see the wood from the trees as some has already gone (carp that is )
I am going to re-read my bible over the next few days as I am still having problems with clothes and like Judi I do have things I love and bring me joy but maybe dont flatter me a much as they should
Next week is going to be hot so I will be hitting the beach in my long floaty floral dress at some point :rotfl:Also doing the detox/cleanse next week as I feel strangely that is the next move for me on this very weird life changing journey
The baby rabbits are still hanging around and are under the rotary line as we speakEating grass and tomato
Which I gave them. Not eating plants or digging holes
So all the doubters who wanted them shot for eating plants and digging holes. Mind your own business and worry about your own life and not mine :TOr the baby rabbits as I still dont care what you think or say :rotfl:And 'worry' is a word I dont recognise any more

I'm de lurking to comment that I have no drawers in my bedroom, let alone anything to line them with...
I've nowhere to fold anything...
I don't have drawers in my bedroom either but I do have shelves. (and they are unlined as easy to wipe clean). Shelves are not ideal for folded things but if I put the t shirts in across the shelf I can get two rows on one shelf. It is so much easier to pick out the right T shirt than it used to be when they were stacked one on top of the other! I just need to re-jig a little so I can get all my jumpers done the same as they are hung at the moment.
Loving all your ideas and reading this thread.
Yesterday I consolidated paperwork into two rooms rather than 4!! -ready for the attack next week. I also shredded a huge bag of stuff. There will be much more shredding soon!!!July 16 £95/£200

Morning, just wanted to add my vote for definitely reading the book first. It really makes a massive difference and changes the way you view the whole process. You can read the categories and general ideas but there is Magic in how she writes. I find when I get stuck rereading really helps me get motivated and make progress. I am actually tempted to buy the physical book as I have the kindle copy but find it harder to use. I know most people on here have probably read it but on the Facebook group so many say they haven't which I find surprising, I can't imagine it's that big an investment and libraries seem to have it now as there is such demand!
Today I need to get the bags I have sorted out of the house, and I will do one more komono category, really not fancying the cables and electricals but that should be next.
Even though the house is tidier I am no where near done. BUT when I look back to how many books I donated, clothes that went and papers I burnt I must be making progress:T
Hope everyone has a good day:)0 -
Good Afternoon Konverts,

Cleaned out my bathroom cabinet this morning it took all of 2 minutes.
That in itself filled me with joy.:rotfl:

I've never used drawer lining paper in my life, my drawers are just so empty now (& you can see the bases), that I thought some pretty paper might be cheery.
Had a other major Kondo day today. I've done my komono (in my case toiletries, jewellery, luggage, handbags, medicines and oddments). Another bin liner full gone.
I've also done the cupboard of despair, aka cleaning products and laundry cupboard. Another half a bin liner full and its peaceful and organised. I intend to reduce the range of cleaning products over time, but I want to use them and bin them rather than just chucking them.
All our CDs are going too. We only use iPads now and have so many cd audiobooks. Will check if my Mum would like them, if not, off to the CS.
