As for folding ones knickers.....what the heck? Whats simpler than chucking 8 pair of pants in a drawer? Have i missed something?

    I thought the same................but then I tried it:D

Oh I've got one of those in the attic along with a load of Buddhas I thought they brought me joy but the only things I've missed about them since they went in the attic a couple of years ago is dusting them.:D the decision now is to CS them or fob them off on the school summer fete. (Anything that doesn't sell at the fete goes to a CS anyway)

Went shopping with mum today for her sisters pressie. I know my mindset is now changing as things that i would have gone 'oooh pretty' and bought I actually said it and put it back. We got them some candle holders in a wicker basket, both aunts enjoy sitting in garden so ideal for putting citronella candles in. Added some biscuits and job done. Mum pleased too as came in £7 below budget so she can get some wine for her!!

If I can ever get through the 'hoarder' territory down to normal person level clutter I will get on.. in the meantime.. keep on keeping on because I am being motivated to bin some!

Don't worry, pigpen, you'll get there, if you stick at it.:coffee: Reading the book should fire you up - it did me. ;)

I'm in the same boat! My house still looks like a hoarder's paradise! Stuff is leaving, but very slowly at present. At least nothing is coming in, apart from food - I stopped that, a few years ago, along with junk mail... that goes straight in recycling and burning, the moment it comes through the letterbox.

I found that starting with socks, underwear, nightwear, accessories and jewellery was a great motivator, because the results are instant, and so quick and easy to maintain. :j

It is harder for people who, like me, have somewhere along the line, lost the knack of getting rid of stuff that I no longer needed. In the past, even with five children I kept the house clean and tidy. I think I probably relaxed and became lazy, without noticing, after the children left home. Until, it was so overwhelming that I didn't know where to start! :(

Kondoing is going to be a long job, but I have a definite vision of how I want my home to be, and the things that I want to do... when I have the space! :)

I no longer have the stamina that I had before retirement, so I'm plodding along, but the joy of clearing even a small space is amazing, and the spaces will eventually join up together!:rotfl:

I see MK as the answer to any serious clutterer's prayers, because she is not judgmental, her method is somewhat hypnotic, and the subtle changes to our mindset make it quite hard to unthinkingly slip back into bad habits. Also, cleaning and tidying is super easy and quick... so successful Konverts have said! (I haven't cleared enough space yet, to indulge in more than basic chores! :o)

My tolerance of [STRIKE]shi[/STRIKE] carp is constantly decreasing, so stuff is going that I would never have dreamed of parting with at the start. It's just brilliant and I haven't missed a single thing that's gone!
