    Hi all

Just had an impromptu flinging session in DSs cupboard, lots of clothes that dont fit. Had a little dither about whether I should try and ebay some but no, they are going to be collected by the British Heart Foundation on Monday morning along with as much other stuff as I can clear out this weekend.

I am roughly following categories but not perhaps doing it to the letter. My built in bedroom cupboard tomorrow. I know this is going to be tricky and I may need your support. I have a big jewellery box that my parents bought me for Christmas when I was about 12! Its full of cheap jewellery I never wear and I dont even like it very much, but my parents would be upset if they knew I was throwing it out. Sigh.

Oh and any tips for donating jewellery to the charity shop? How do you package it up so that it doesnt all just become a big tangled mess?

    Evening all

YL I wrap jewellery in recycled tissue paper for the CS

Feeling I've hit the wall. Just been into the loft to put something away and felt totally overwhelmed. I am sure you have all felt the same at some point. I'm struggling to prioritize time for kondoing so progress is very slow. Trying to decide whether to spend the weekend gardening, cleaning, kondoing, all need doing badly or I could sit watching cricket at the club.

Dusty you've worked really hard the weather is going to be good over the weekend. Watch the cricket. Everything will still be here next week. Rome wasn't built in a day and sure as heck our houses didn't fill up over night so we need a little time to kondo and there will be times when you need a break between categories to recharge your batteries.
I'm kondoing mils garden tomorrow then spending some time cuddling my new little grandson. Stuff will get done but not all in one day.

    Have a good weekend all.:)

Dusty I feel the same. After starting this with a huge flourish, then stopping because other things got in the way I am struggling to move forward with it. It does take time too, I spent nearly all of last Saturday just doing my airing cupboard/blanket box.

Coin bags from the bank are a useful size for most bits of jewellery - and the CS can reuse them :)

I'm still alive and only sat down an hour ago with a very well earned LARGE glass of vino:beer:

Six bags of clothes to SA shop, Four bags to dump along with all my bedroom furniture:eek::eek::eek: When I started on my clothes I realised for the umpteenth time how broken and falling to bits it all was. We bought the set when we moved into this house 24 years ago. It brought me no joy whatsoever. So all my clothes are either hanging in DS1's room, over the top landing bannister or boxed up!

With the help of DS2 and a couple of screwdrivers we dismantled two triple wardrobes, two chest of drawers, two bedside cabinets and a bookcase:rotfl:

Tomorrows plan is to start stripping wallpaper and price up some new furniture. Feeling exhausted but very pleased with myself. Of course DS2 thinks I'm nuts:D

A conversation I've already had, I've told him if anything happened to me I would want him to find someone else with my total blessing but I've been told not to be so stupid if I went first he would not cope alone but wouldn't want anyone else. So I'm not allowed to even think about going anywhere on my own.
I'm not being morbid when I mention kids house clearing, I just think if we deal with our own carp others don't have to. All I want to leave is happy memories and small mementoes. Dd3 is sorted as soon as we got a tortoise she looked up how long they lived and requested him when I pop off:rotfl:
I'm not planning on going anywhere yet, I've still got too much wool and cross stitch left to use up;)

So, you'll knitting away at 145? Or cross-stitching, wearing two pairs of glasses and squinting?:rotfl:
Still working my way through paperwork. :(

Also, I don't know what Kondoing has done to me, but today when I was in Morrisons my coat button must have got caught on the basket.
When I went to pay, I found it loose in my handbag (how lucky was that?!).
Got home and started to watch Come Dine and got my sewing basket and have sewn it back on already! Now I know this isn't a big thing, but for me it is! Usually the button would live on "the side" for months before I got round to it. :o
I then preceded to repair a cushion cover that had a seam that had come unstitched about a year ago. :o

Is anyone else finding that they procrastinate less than they used to pre Konmari? :)

Yep! Very unlike me, and I feel quite excited, when an unexpected chore pops up, or I notice something that needs doing (that I've been blind to for the past several years!) :o :j

Yes, I ironed stuff yesterday rather than leave in ironing basket. That's twice in a row _pale_. I've even decided not to wash the bedding I've just changed today as I won't be able to iron it :o .
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I've been doing that for the last few weeks too.
It is so much easier ironing it the same day isn't it? :j

DustyKitten, go to the cricket! If you haven't got any Kondovation (motivation!) at the moment, the break will do you good. Enjoy! :D (also the cleaning, Kondoing, etc will still be there tomorrow, the chance to watch the cricket won't be)
