Moving networks is not an option (unless they have a similar, but better app on PAYG) as none of the networks seem able to provide a reliable signal at this location.

I understand, which is why I didn't make the suggestion in my first post. Three is a the best choice for many people, whether for signal or value (no other network matches 3-2-1).

I was just making that point to the other poster who was suggesting my point of view was incorrect.

+1 for Three and 3-2-1. Shame about the Three inTouch app.

By network, I mean a real network that is well known and not an unknown tiny MVNO that might do an Ovivo in the future.

I've got a Three phone, and installed Three inTouch.... I wanted to check on here if anyone knew how to do some things.

Firstly, is there any way to change the ringtone? I've seen mention that people say it's not possible for people on iphones, I'm on Android. I've not worked out how to change it, no idea if it's possible.

I've also got a problem that my phonebook has disappeared, since installing Three inTouch it is only showing my number, and the voicemail number that I added after Three inTouch was installed. Is this usual? I've emailed Three as trying to call them takes too long. Got a reply today saying to give my phone number, when I last topped up, when I switched to Three etc. So I probably won't hear from them for another day at least...

Anyone have any ideas? (i.e. how to change the ringtone on an Android, and how to get contacts back.. they're in Google, and new ones look like they've been added to Google but aren't showing the first lot)

On Android it is supposed to use the notification in settings (of course, many people find it has its own mind with regard to this and often uses its own default).

This is what Three say about contacts:
    Synchronising contacts.
Press the contact icon on the left-hand side of the top navigation bar to open the contacts screen.

If you'd like to add a contact, press the + button in the middle of the bottom navigation bar. This will also add the contact to your phone's normal contact list.

Unfortunately the inTouch app is still so full of bugs Three should get a RentoKil contract to sort it.

Rumour has it, Three are testing proper WifiCalling so have essentially given up on the useless app.
