Was involved in a car accident earlier today, whos liable?

I let the insurance companies decide whos fault is it. If the driver was doing more than 5mph or didn't leave a door width apart space when passing by then I cannot accept full liability.
If the other car was driving past you, and you pulled out without warning and drove into the side of it, it would be your fault as you have a responsibility to make sure the road is clear before pulling out.
When you open a door you have the same responsibility to make sure the road / path is clear before doing so.All your base are belong to us.0 -

Bery would find some way of blaming the other driver too.0 -

It's a serious offence to exceed an advisory speed limit.0 -
Wake up and smell the roses bery
If you force the other driver to go through insurance to establish that you are 100% at fault there's no way in hell they'll be accepting a cash payment from you. You'll have to kiss your no claims goodbye and have yet another accident to declare, I'd hate to be paying your insurance premium next year0 -
Lol this is getting absolutely ridiculous now. Never heard so much tosh in my life. All I did was parked my car in the bay correctly. Next time I will get gull-wing doors and a mind control chip to install in the passenger brain so I have total control of the passenger lol. I'm leaving this thread. Whine all you want. Goodbye.0

Why did you ask who was liable when your mind is so closed on the subject?
Why not just claim off the other driver if there is no doubt in your mind?

That's a relief. I thought by your OP you had damaged someone else's car by allowing yours to come into contact with it.I'm leaving this thread. Whine all you want. Goodbye. All your base are belong to us.0 -
I came across another of your threads today on the Insurance board....wanting recommendations for solicitors/claim firms for personal injury after a car accident...was your 'elderly' 60 odd year old with diminished mental capacity (due to being so old) injured?
Sorry folks having trouble posting links.0 -

And he still hasn't got his head around the fact that even if he manages to keep his No Claim Bonus intact - his premium will be increased due to being involved in an 'incident.'
I surmise that he thinks that by paying cash himself he doesn't have to inform his insurance company.
But in reality once he sees the size of the repair bill for the other car - which had a door handle ripped off, and a crease/dent along the side - he is going to realise that an increased premium and losing the NCB is possibly the cheaper option.
He never told us exactly what he stands to lose IIRC and I can't be bothered going back to sift through all his dross to check.
But he insists until the end he did nothing wrong.0
