Hi

I passed my full car license April 2014 bought Peugeot 106 2001 1.1 L and the insurance quotes was starting from £3500 , £265 a month, Now i move houses about 5 min walk and they saying it will be now £345 a month for a car that is worth £500 i just cant afford it:mad: I am 22 and have 3 years no claim on my motorbike insurance but no one want to know. Does any one have any suggestions ? I was thinking get new car on finance but the insurance will kill me.

  • Does your mother have a licence?

If so try adding her as a named driver to see if it reduces your policy.

Postcodes have a big factor in the premiums and you may have moved to a high risk postcode (or higher as you pay more a month than I do for a year) the other thing is the car that you have chosen, sadly that falls in the typical boy racer big bore, lowered and that sh*t that thie kids like to do, and then run off the road . Choose a bigger grown up car and your premiums may drop, my friend's son pays less for a bmw 120 than his previous fiat punto.

Not to any purchaser, T&Cs apply and usually young inexperienced drivers are excluded from the offer.

Of course, age 21 and driving a year.

OP could wait until April and pay less a month for an insured car than they do just now just for insurance.

What do you mean it's an old list and for motorcycles? the * shows that motorcycles in these areas must be kept securely locke out of sight and possibly for some cars too.

Before you start trying to have a go, please read fully, the T&C's also show "Minimum age 21 (except on Polo BlueGT and GTI models where the minimum age is 25)" .
