i called the braodband line told them that if they waived the fee for activation then i would upgrade to the sky sports package.

i got the fee waived without much arguement, then got given a number to call if i wanted to upgrade the tv package. (which i was going to anyways).

got the router an bits and pieces yesterday, no charge. line activated next thursday.

i think it has a lot to do with luck and wheter the person you speak to is an a good mood or not.

well gave up in the end and paid the £30!!!

they wouldn't budge, i even said about not requiring the macafee security package...

apparently you don't have to pay it if you take out a multi-room subscription but i don't want that!!!

parents been on full sky world since year dot, rang to get sky broadband threatening to cancel and was offered free installation, got through to broadband team and was told that the only plan they can offer is around £18 a month! told them where to put it and signed up with tiscali instead...
