sky broadband.........

i want free sky broadband (i think it's the base one with no monthly fee?)

but i don't want to pay the £40 activation fee!!!

i have heard of people having this fee waived but i've asked a few times and no joy!!

anyway round this paying this fee?:confused:

    If it's any consolation, until around mid-September there is a £30 setup fee regardless of which product you buy (e.g. broadband, tv, combination etc).

    The fee to install broadband is not dictated by Sky, but their wholesale suppliers. Be it Openreach or BT Wholesale. Irrespective i'd be very suprised if they waive the £40

    as other people have stated before the £40 fee is a set fee by BT wholesale and i don't think you will get it waved..

    Also you have to think thats if it's all free what is the support going to be like if you have a problem.. This is a loss leader and if you read the T&C the price can go up at any moment....

    Key point from Sky Broadband contract:
    Sky Broadband is variable and our prices, Products and the Sky Broadband Extras can change, even during your Minimum Term. However, if we reduce the level of service provided by your chosen Product and you reasonably consider that you have been disadvantaged by this you will have a right to move to another Product or end this Contract.

    i already have sky tv but is there anyway of getting any cashback if i sign up to broadband using a cashback site or uswitch or something?
