Returning a television to Argos

If you're not happy because it has a poor picture quality, then it's probably faulty and it's fine to take it back.
I think the OP needs to tell us more.0 -
Picture quality is largely subjective and can vary between makes and models. Poor picture quality in itself isn't an indication of a faulty TV.
I think the OP needs to tell us more.
One of the problems buying things like TV's in Argos are that you cant see them in operation. You can't even see the build quality or how good the remote is.
So if I bought a TV from Argos and the picture quality wasn't as good as I expected I would take it back.0 -
The OP certainly does need to tell us more.

.
The lack of ithis obvious information indicates the OP needs reminding that you can not just take stuff back because "I'm not happy with it" and needs to be responsible enough to make a grown up decision to buy (enter into a contract)When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -
OP said they they were not happy with it.
This could mean it was faulty, but only the OP can tell us that.
It could mean that, but I think that is unlikely as one would expect such a key piece of information to be included with the OP.
For all we know, the TV didn't match his coffee table/DVD player/woodchip wallpaper - which is not valid reason to return it in this instance.0 -
Dixons, Comet, (when they were both still on the high street) and Currys have the same no returns policy for opened goods being returned for a change of mind or unsuitable items and it's for this reason that I now only buy TV's and monitors from John Lewis.
They may sometimes be a bit more expensive but they allow anything electrical to be returned for a change of mind and they offer a minimum of a 2 year warranty.0 -
Hi, I have bought a tv from Argos today. I have had it out of the box and switched it on. I am not happy with it and would like to return it tomorrow. Would I be able to get a full refund if I put it back in it's original packaging? Or will I not be entitled to one as it has been opened?
Thanks.
For what it's worth; I bought a £100 monitor from Argos a year and a bit ago for my final year at university. It developed a small fault, but being away I continued to use it, and bought it to Argos' attention at the end of the year (almost 8 months later).
Was expecting some sort of compensation or a replacement; got a full refund.
Essentially, it all depends on who you talk to on the day and what mood they're in.0 -

And just as importantly, how you talk to them.0
