Help Please disputing bill - direct debit payment
Hi, thanks for reading.
Basically changed from T Mobile to Tesco, am now having to find myself disputing their final bill. When I rang to cancel and request PAC, they told me I would be within an Early Termination fee period. They gave me a date when i needed to ring after, thus avoiding the fee ~ which I did.
Final bill has now arrived and they have landed me with the early termination fee.
Direct Debit will be going out soon, anyone know if I am in my rights to cancel the direct debit a d advise them I am in dispute over the termination charge. I have no dispute other than the £33.72 charge.
As said thanks forcreading and any help your able to give

You are within your rights to cancel the DD, but this doesn't solve the problem and can result in T-mobile reporting a missed payment and a default to CRA(s).
Your post lacks so many details, that it's impossible to say whether the charge was correct or not.
The only way to avoid paying any extra charges is to give the notice 30 days or earlier before the minim term ends.
That said, T-mobile are notorious for their attempts to rob almost all leaving customers: BEWARE T-Mobile early termination fee when useing pac code...0 -
Requesting a PAC overrides the request to cancel, using the PAC terminates the contract so it will depend on the date you used it and ported your numberWhen I rang to cancel and request PAC, they told me I would be within an Early Termination fee period. Thanks both for replying, thats what i was wondering whether it would get a problem with credit and defaulting stuff.
I cant find my original contract and thats part of problem, but I got a couple of days grace first.
I think its a case of letting it go through and then arguing toss and asking them to listen to calls when they gave me a date to ring to cancel
Thank you for you help on the default/non payment bit x0 -
You don't need the contract.
After giving a notice or getting the PAC you get charged for the next 30 days or the remainder of the minimum term whichever is longer. Most likely the part of the last 30 days has been covered by the previous bill and paid in advance.0
