  • I'm a virgin customer too and called on new years eve as my daughters mobile had given up the ghost! Ring them on 789 from your mobile and they can check your usage...my daughter is permanently attached to hers and she was on an unlimited sim deal but it turns out that she is only using around 150mb of data per month (she hooks up to wi-fi wherever she can) so she now has a new phone being delivered tomorrow and it's costing me an extra 50p per month due to changing the package she is on. While I was on I got them to check mine too and have now changed my package and halved the cost!! :j

Streaming music, Skype & YouTube can gobble up MB very quickly, I've used 300Mb in an evening watching YouTube.

However, that's only on 3G/4G so as long as you use home wifi or free wifi hotspots in cafes etc. you're OK with much less.

I have 500Gb/month and TBH just for web browsing I'd struggle to use 100Mb on 3G/4G

Hadn't realised I could phone and ask (doh!)...just phoned them and apparently I only used 90mb last month, so suspect I'd be ok with 250mb after all. Tend to use tablet or laptop for browsing, iplayer etc. Thank you all for your help :)

The usage depends on the settings as well, not just on you. Make sure that the settings are correct, mainly for synchronisation and updatign.
