I have been housebound for 3 days! just because I felt so tired and now I look like the elephant man!!!! I was supposed to be away with a friend this weekend but that is looking less and less likely now! Ah well at least I will save some money! Really searching for a silver lining here!0

Sounds to me like you are exhausted. You need to rest but I understand the frustration of not getting on top of things. Perhaps you can very slowly and gently start to tidy/clean/de clutter at a tenth of your normal efficient pace but at least you will achieve something and hopefully get your strength. Back too. I so admire all of you dealing with debt and everything else life throws at you, especially those of you without supportive partners. Take care.0

Thanks for your kind words When the going gets tough - I guess sometimes you need to listen to your body and take some time out - valuable lesson learned as I never do take time out to relax and do nothing really! I don't really dwell on being on my own - but I have felt this last 2 weeks at hat it would be so nice to have someone to lean on! Oh well - I have survived!
Feeling a little better and managed to clean my room - one step at a time I guess!
I did venture out today as I needed to go to chemist and offered to take DD2 to work - wandered into a few shops and quite enjoyed browsing at bits for my home - gave me a bit more incentive to:
a: Get the house into some kind of order
b: pay of my debt asap so I can buy some nice bits without feeling guilty
It definitely gave me an incentive to get my self back to paying my debt!0

Happy Friday to you too Beanie - Got lots of ideas today - but resisted buying anything! I know it will feel so much better to be debt free0

Right back to this debt busting mission! I seem to have been a bit distracted of late!
I have so many things to do in the house but decided to ignore most of them and keep going with the debt payments (not made any overpayments last month so going to pay off a chunk today and update signatures later)
The house things will have to wait - there are things \I can do that won't cost much/anything that will keep me feeling like I am moving forward. I will be able to plan the bigger things then when I am debt free next spring!
August is a spendy month in lots of ways - I booked a caravan for me an DD3 while DS is at cadet camp - very indulgent I know but it was a bargain and I really wanted to spend some quality time with her before she goes to high school. I have paid some towards it bit need to pay it off and will needs some spends too - but on a budget of course! 2 friends are going to come with me for some of it so hopefully they will contribute to the cost too!
Also have school uniforms to buy - which is going to be quite a cost!
But back to budgeting and updated YNAB - been very slack over last month and it really makes a difference! I am going to gut the kitchen this weekend so trying not to do any food shopping and as it is only DD2 and me at home we should be fine - just need to be a bit creative! but should help to keep the grocery budget down until DD3 and DS come back from their Dads on the 10th August.
Feel like I am back and motivated - about time too! Looking forward to updating my signatures later!0
