Haha thanks & slap gratefully received!!! and I can cope your kind of abuse and control! and I agree shock and disbelief is the order of the day for a lot my friends - it makes me wonder who is the 39% as they are no one I know!!! We too have a labour MP but its little consolation to be honest!!! Would love to go back to Scotland!
Dansmam- Thanks for your kind words - I think I might plan a little time off for after my dissertation is done-when DS and DD3 spend a few weeks at their dads but no idea where to or what with!!!- I think I just need something to look forward to!
Yes my new tyres make such a difference had the tracking done too and car feels much better!0 -

Sorry you are feeling down Judi. Life seems to go in cycles of being easier and harder. And when you are tired anyway...hope you can find the silver lining again.

Thanks Bob you are so right - energy/resilience does seem to go in circles doesn't it? Sometimes nothing phases me and at other times just cooking dinner seems too much like hard work! DD3 asked me tonight what I did in work that makes me so tired!!!! How do I answer that? It made me sad because obviously the kids are affected by the way I am feeling then that makes me feel guilty!!!
Beanie now't else for it than keeping plodding is there? The annoying thing is I am so much better off than some an I know that! Just need to keep reminding myself of that - and I work in the best place to do that! Just can't fathom why suddenly I feel so down!!! I'm annoying myself let alone anyone else!!!!0 -
You are doing a dissertation
Working hard
Supporting your children emotionally and financially
Paying your debts down.......All on your own.
Yes it's hard but I don't think having a dead weight t*ser attached to your left ankle would improve matters. Keep focused on what is immediately ahead so get your dissertation done and then have a break or something nice to look forward.Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.

I am same, judi - and I know it's Election result, so I've commandeered yours to keep mine company.
Then, we can be my pioneering NZ forbears with the Song of Labour, which I can recall only part of. Be sure it came out during Sat. night's bittersweet celebration of Dan's victory. The Uni students have been fantastic, as have the 30/40/50+ year stalwarts. I have met good people over the last coiuple of months.

All would find a home on the 5 osps' Thread, but our caring 'on watch' for mhags' OH takes precedence there atm....which you, judi, know only too well via your work.

Thanks Butti - no I don't need a dead weight t*ser attached to my left ankle!!! You are right!!! and I know the dissertation will be done in just 2 months!!! Looking for something to do that's cheap and cheerful to look forward to at the end.
Amperand - I have a sneaky feeling the election result is part of my mood dip! Work is just a constant juggle to do more with less and every year for the next 5 at least will be the same if not worse - and its tough going to motivate people, develop services and secure funding - as well as the most important bit! To care for each and every patient as if they were my Mum or best friend!!!
We have a wedding tomorrow!!!
Your words are very apt - and I have taken heed!!! I'll bring the glasses and corkscrew!!0 -
Hope that wedding goes wonderfully.
Love between ANY 2 people is instantly recognisable as itself - and therefore worthy, to be acclaimed in universal terms and celebrated.
[That bot. was already open :-)...still is. Did not partake après tout hier soir. There'll be others]
Your fight for funding for services now will be even more intense..
Just swing through that DISSERTATION judi. It is feeling like another canvassing campaign for &:-) and yes, when I heard [judi location result]on Election night, I did feel a lift of heart, whether or not you had voted thus.
Hearing Kinnock son voice, unmistakable, in b/g r4 now.
Shall I nobly return your Thread to you now? - my apologies for recent & hi-jack tendencies.

Yes our area is definitely red much to my relief -but doesn't change the bigger and much more depressing picture!!!
The wedding was very moving - not a dry eye in the house!!! Bride and groom spending their wedding night together too! We do rustle up a good wedding at short notice!!! Todays' was well attended too with real effort in outfits and accessories - maybe if funds dry up we should start wedding planning as a side line!!!
Got a study day on Friday and no kids this weekend so
the aim is to get the literature review and methodology sections written - I might feel a little less stressed after that!
Hijack away - I like the distraction to be honest!0
