I know I'm late to the party but we swopped all our light bulbs this year for led ones. They are still silly prices in the uk - I bought mine from aliexpress.com. Much cheaper and not had a dud one yet and we've swopped loads and loads, saving ££££s

Thanks Beannie - that kind of JOY I can do without!!!! But it has meant a very quiet evening!!!! and tomorrow DD1 will be home so it may even get worse as her and DD2 also fight like cat and dog!!!! I love them really - but would just like a quiet day! on the plus side DS has been very quiet (even though has been connected to his x box most of the day!) and now is asleep - he said he didn't feel well and in amongst the drama with the girls I didn't pay much attention to him - now I am worried he is actually not well!!!! But enjoying the peace before I start to worry about him!

dawnybabes welcome to the party - latecomers welcome! - will definitely check out that site - I am daft not to do a light bulb swap if it saves a decent amount!

You have done very well with your abstinence Ampersand - enjoy your nutritional freedom today! Yes my lurgy is just about gone - the odd cough but definitely feel better!!!! DS got up at 10 last night after having fallen asleep at about 6 pm and sat with me watching films - it was lovely! He is a sweetie when he wants to be!

Today has been another lazy morning - but need to go shopping to get the bits for lunch tomorrow - then get out in the garden if the weather stays fine! the seedlings in the conservatory need to go out!

well a busy few days at chez Judi - shopping done yesterday and today was just cooking and family time. I have enough lamb and chicken to last the week, I just need to get creative with it so we don't get bored!

Not done anything in the garden so if the weather is good again tomorrow I need to get stuck in! although I would also like to get the kids out in the fresh air (maybe kicking and screaming mind you!)

2 NSD's so far for April! Its a start!

Thanks Beannie. My DS is back from camp and seems to have enjoyed it! He can hardly walk though!

Feeling a bit fed up tonight - I guess its the back to work feeling. I had so much to do this week in the house and really haven't done much at all! Garden was a no no today as it has rained all day!!! Spend too much time thinking and planning and I guess my impatient self was shouting at me today!!! - wishing I could do all the things I want in the house and garden but knowing it will have to wait until next year!!!

I was thinking about whether to slow down a little and pay the debt over the 14 months of the 0% period rather than struggle to pay it off in total this year - giving me a little more money to do bits in the house - then I flip back into 'I just want it gone asap!'

Too much time naval gazing today I think!!!

Ended up having a big row with DD2 - over a meal! She came in from work asking what's for tea - I said I was doing chicken stir fry with the rest of the YS chicken from yesterday - she said she didn't want that so I said I would do pasta with chicken and chorizo but she came into kitchen while I was adding the onion! and she went mental saying she wouldn't eat it - she would make something else! Result was DS had a strop because I had made pasta and not stir fry! so neither of them had tea!!!! She just thinks she can do whatever she likes and doesn't;t understand the impact it has on the others! Is it wrong to want her to move out? I feel such a rubbish mum but she's 22 and I'm sick of her attitude!!! ok Rant over!!!!!

hi judi, sorry for being away for so long, i'v been ill, she's 22, not 2 why is she having a strop? she wants something else let her do it, if she move out she can cook what the hell she likes, she's an adult in charge of her own life, tell her to grow up or get out! at 22 i took a job and moved to london all in the space of 10 days, your not helping her by pander to her needs. your DS & DD3 need more of your attention they cant look after themselves she can.

Just a quick update - crazy day on Sunday. Lovely breakfast made by the kids, then Church, then home made some cupcakes and took them to work for all the mummies that had to work on Mothers day. Then a few hours of chilling followed by a Mexican feast made by the girls and topped off by an almighty barny between the older 2 which ended up in the eldest leaving in tears!!!!

Chatted once she got home and she was fine - she is just worried about me and the drama that DD2 seems to cause at every available opportunity!

Work is busy and off to London for a meeting tomorrow which I am not looking forward to - the meeting is fine but having to be organised and away by 6.30 is causing me all sorts of stress!

Not much to report on the money saving front - NSD's yesterday and today so at least that might make up for my spendy Saturday! Only a week until payday!

my sister creates a lot of drama out of nothing everyday, she's addicted to it, could DD2 maybe feeling jealous of the younger 2? like my sister she may have 'middle child sydrome' its hard work, she needs to either talk to you about what's going on with her or someone else. she seems very, confused and her having stropps is not helping herself
