Evening Judi,
I think once you can spend on the house I'm sure you will feel better in it.
I don't suppose now is a good time to talk about Boomerang Girl who has left home 6 times including uni & 2 relationships!! Finally she's realised she doesn't need a man, has a good job, lots of friends & lives alone but I still can't bring myself to downsize just in case!.......0 -
Hi Fizzy - I know what you mean and I am sure my kids will come, go, come back again a few times - I guess I have had moving in my head for a while but I'm sure you are right - once I get the house the way I want it I will be more settled!
Beannie - I think I need to stop thinking!!! its driving me mad!!!0 -
JUDI -re: 'decisions, decisions!!!!' See that Big Red Shouty?
'NOT NOW' is the answer....

Please just stop. School has. Children have. You must, too.
Now, just get down. Go on. Sit in your chair. Judi, SIT... and STAY!

Enjoy these 10 days. The 24hr Diss. pilot light is quietly burning. Keep something write-y on hand to scribble things on and down, no matter what.
My wotever bug is on the turn, so yours is similarly instructed.
Quiet ME time daily still mandatory - can be shared with one child at a time if similarly mooded. [Remember how you've noted with pleasure a DS one and a DD2 one over recent months?]
Drop all the house-y must do's. No, you mustn't at all - at least not now, at least not until debt's busted and the Pleasure of Choice is freely yours.
1st world 'problems', i.e. cosmetics, are not things to be agonsiing about right now.
Easter days out and about, family memories, Rev. Mother's big week, YOUR starring cake, Maundy Thursday@work and Good Friday@work - but likely the last one for so many you work for.....
- and to all who follow you, dear judi, with caring thoughts and support, I take the liberty of asking you to read and offer the same to JackRS on his Thread - a future life-defining day for him tomorrow in Court.

To close, judi - you said it yourself to beanie 'I think I need to stop thinking!!! its driving me mad!!! That is not thinking, it's short circuit brain overloading.
Right, kettle's just boiled and we've a plate each - bits of both last night's agape desserts. Have to say they went well [ 20 eggs used, just like last year:-)]
Genoise Framboise and Moelleux Magique aux Agrumes Yup, requirement was 'French-themed'.
big bowl of extra thick double cream beaten with 4pks cream cheese and slurp rum, a little honey. Yum scrum...[or should be when dairy/bread/choc resumes post-Lent.] All who ate said so, not knowing who'd made what.
Gear change judi, - drop down to 2nd, OK. Pootling speed..CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Enjoy your time off, only you know how you truly feel about your house. Personally, I think you are juggling it all brilliantly x£250 shopping, diesel and any other spends
December 16- January 15 £345.06/250.00 -£95.06
£2 saving a day for christmas 2017 £0/£730
Total debt paid off before 26 December 2017 £3142.31/14,053.85 = £10911.54 left to go0 -
Consider my self told!!! And of course Ampersand your words of wisdom have landed with a soft thud of realisation that I do need to slow down and take some time out this next week - this bloomin cold/cough thing has really worn me out! the dissertation is, as you say, in my head 24/7 - planning on getting the proposal written (which also makes up my next and last assignment) over the week off so I will be well ahead as I have no doubt that the data collection will take longer than I expect!!
I also do just need to calm down, get through this next 9 months and get debt free before taking stock - unfortunately I was not gifted with large amount of patience when it comes to my self!
Your Agape meal sounds lovely - the deserts! All I can say is wow - shame you couldn't sample them. The Rev is very busy this week as you say so not seen much of her but lovely meal planned for Sunday with whole gang! Only one more day for me in work - off from Friday and definitely ready for it!
Will visit the thread you suggest and offer my support!
Cwtchie - thank you - I am plate spinning a little at the moment though and the sensible approach would be to slow down and get the course finished, debt gone, and DD3 all settled in high school than think about the house! I think I just got excited seeing properties selling so well. My house is fine - in fact is more than fine in that is in a place that's suits the kids - on a bus route to both schools, 3 miles from my work, got lots of space (too much too keep on top of the cleaning!) a reasonable garden that I could do a lot more with and the mortgage is affordable now let alone when the debt is gone! I guess its just not my ideal house which would be a cozy cottage in a village somewhere which is totally impractical now for the kids - I would be as well staying put and getting my ideal house when kids all grown up! (preferably in France!!!)0 -
Happy Easter and start of hols judi.
Thankyou so much - and bl:-) - for posting on JackRS's Thread.
It's pouring here, so one of Vic's pressies should be useful today.
Have a wonderful w/e en famille.

Thanks Ampersand and happy Easter to you too - have a lovely weekend!:easter_ba
My holiday hasn't started well - had a very lazy morning so when I eventually got moving and asked DD3 to clean out bunnies all hell broke loose - DD2 told me last night that she wasn't going to help in the house today as it was her day off! so she sat and watched TV while I cleaned then proceeded to start a fight with DD3 - now bear in mind DD2 is 22 and DD3 is 10 - she was telling her she had to do her jobs! :mad:Fine talk from one who decided that she wouldn't help anyway! well as the shouting got worse I simply sent both to their rooms - turned up Bon Jovi - and kept going! House clean soup and fish pie made and all three kids banished to their rooms! bliss!
Not exactly what I had planned for today! Not been out of the house! But the good thing is I haven't spent anything either!!!!:T0 -
