To be fair itserve, I haven't seen anybody being rude or judgemental or attacking you or being mean to you at all.
I actually genuinely think (like everyone else here,) that you're being unfair, and harsh on the company involved. I also agree with Collabro that many companies are closed from 22/23 December to 5th Jan. My dentist, my hairdressers, the local nail bar, the local garage, LOADS of places are shut for the 2 weeks.
If they haven't got back to you yet, this will probably be because they are not there. I also agree with the above poster that it may also be something to do with the courier company's issues. Think of those poor souls with no job now. I bet they wish something they ordered not being delivered yet was the only problem they have.
They will probably reply early next week.
Do you need the chainsaw so desperately? If you do, maybe you would have been better off going to a store for it, and not ordering it via mail order on Christmas Eve.No debt left now. Saved £111 in our sealed pot last year. And £272.13 this year! Also we have £2300 in savings. :j
SPC #468Target £250 for 2015.

It is clear the OP come one here and has no intention to take in the advise everyone has offered as he thinks businesses must be open every day of the year and even if a courier goes bust anything they ordered must be delivered by said courier0

Pick those toys up and put your dummy back in on the way out will ya?Please people, read my original post. If it's helpful to you great. If not feel free to ignore it. I certainly won't bother posting on this website's forum ever again.
Pity you couldn't follow up on your threats! Feel free to report me, I couldn't care less :beer:0 -
My original post is balanced and totally fair. I cannot comprehend why people on forums seem to take delight in rubbishing other's posts - is it some kind of ego thing?
I posted a warning, not a vent. Heed it or not, your choice, but I don't see the point in analysing it to the nth degree.
I don't think this statement is balanced or fair
"I am concerned that they may have been hit hard by the collapse of City Link and although their website is still open for business, they may not be supplying any goods or indeed might be in serious financial trouble. "
They might have been attacked by a swarm of killer bees .. They might have had a bereavement..
I quickly checked them out and they have at least two established business that have been happily running for a few years..0 -

Exactly.
i think its a combination of Christmas and Citylink going bust, which OP does not seem to understand.
if it was me i would rather allow then to reply in their time as they will be trying to get any parcels back from citylink depots.
with them being in Devon and if they have parcels stuck in say City Links Gateshead depot, they they have to go to the depot to collect the parcels and i dare say they will have parcels at various CL depots across the country0 -
I'm sorry for those who have posted reasonable advise on here, only to find themselves reported for abuse because they haven't stated what the OP hoped to hear.
The garden equipment company must have been at least as troubled and put-out by the sudden collapse of CityLink as the OP; I can't imagine that their Christmas was particularly merry either.
Chainsaws can be hired if the need for them is so very urgent.0 -
Yes the OP is waiting for 1 item, while the garden retailer will be having a nightmare to track down the location of all their deliveries and then having to find a way to either get them back to them or to continue to their destinations before the administrators close all depots on the 6th january0
