I hate how people have to wait for IVF. I get that there's a waiting list, but it's not like it's something fun or romantic that you'd be looking forward to like you would with BD (Most of the time ). It's a medical procedure. Anything involving the words "extraction", or "assisted" tends not to conjure up happy thoughts. I hope that all IVF babies grow up to realise how much they were wanted


AF due Saturday, according to FF and Glow. I'm getting all the signs too. Glow helpfully advises "Pamper yourself!". That means "Drink every ounce of alcohol in your house", right?

Got my vaginal ultrasound at 2.40pm - can't wait
Hopefully it will all be normal, after this can arrange to go back and see my GP to discuss the results of this, the smear, the blood tests and the swabs. So far all I've found out is that I don't have chlamydia :rotfl:

Hi ladies. Had my early scan today and there was nothing there. I am in shock and devastatEd. Don't know what happened. The hospital have taken blood and will call to confirm pregnant or not. If I am then it's ectopic so it won't survive and then I have to go to accident and emergency.

Feel so lost

Jo I really feel for you, it's not like you can say "I'm TTC so leave me here" is it?

Cuilean I agree that's what glow means. I might have to sink a bottle of wine later.

Amy I hope your scan goes okay, I've only ever had one once and I didn't like it at all, but if it gets you answers it's the best thing.
When do you ladies count CD1 as? I had more pink yesterday than on Tuesday but it's enough to go onto a pad today - would today be CD1?

Lulu, I'm wondering the same thing. I usually get a few days which are on/off before the whole thing starts. All the more important this month because I've got to remember to start using the Clearblue Fertility Monitor thing, and it says you need to tell it when you hit CD1 so it can "count" your cycle. I think from what you're saying, I'd count today as CD1 for you. If it requires a pad rather than a liner, it's more than spotting.

Hi Ladies,

So sorry Skaps. look after yourself.

Its been a while since I posted (apart from the lists obviously)

I am now on Cycle 23 of TTC, completed fertility investigations (which took 6 months in total!) and now i get to start Clomid next month, which i have mixed feelings about. Kind of excited but also so scared as the NHS only provide 6 cycles - We haven't discussed what happens if i am not pregnant within the 6 cycles. I have not ovulated yet this cycle so i guess we have 1 last try before i start the medication.
My best friend is pregnant at the minute which is really really difficult. Im trying my hardest to be supportive.
