  • I've heard that the SMEP has a good success rate, but girls please don't despair if you are unable for one reason or another to bd loads around ovulation - I got pregnant from only one encounter with OH 2 days before my temps showed I ovulated.

Like gelly, I tracked my cycles which I found invaluable in spotting trends.

Good luck to you all :) x

I've heard you don't really get what you want unless you properly visualise it... so come on everyone, lets visualise ourselves some nice swollen ankles

I've started my 2015 baby-making plan now. I've started taking my folic acid again

That's the spirit Lulu... also thanks for reminding me... *gulp* folic acid down in one.

So having asked to be in the TWW list just yesterday, my 3 days of spotting developed into AF. CD1. Atleast those OPKs won't go to waste!

Two announcements of pregnancies at work today. I'm pleased for them because I know I'd want people to be pleased for me if it was my news.

I'm impressed MRN.... I NEVER succeed in being happy for people's pg announcements. (Weirdly, unless they appear here.... I feel you guys deserve it)

What's the earliest OV has occoured for anyone... I swear I felt some OV like twinges last night, which is impossible... and probably my sleepy brain getting confused, but now I can't think about anything but. And no, I've not been temp monitoring, because I'm sleepy in the mornings and I keep forgetting....

I've had 5 pg announcements since last May, I thought it'd be more

1st pg announcement was on the day OH and I originally agreed to start trying so was happy (but at the same time not due to their circumstances). 2nd announcement was really happy for because she'd been trying for a bit (although was sad because OH wanted to put off for a bit). 3rd announcement was so annoyed because they got pg by accident and had a baby in Feb 14, and were now announcing #2 in September (probably annoyed me because I knew they weren't trying and here I was trying my socks off) 4th announcement I was really pleased because it took her two years and some difficult times so I felt she deserved it. 5th one was an ex boyfriend, annoyed me because he never even showed signs of wanting anything like this with me.

Oh well. I'm very hormonal today.

*de-lurks* More than allowed to be hormonal, Lulu - life is so incredibly unfair sometimes. I'm now going to be a bad influence and say have some chocolate, it'll take the edge off. Stay positive, it WILL happen for you!

Morning ladies! I'll have a guess of 3 BFP's this month.

Not much going on really other than the OPK's still not showing ovulation. I may have missed it I guess, or it might have not happened yet, but how I'm worrying that maybe I don't ovulate!! Perils of getting older I guess. The media has already done a great job on making me feel like I'm selfish for leaving it so long and that things are going to go wrong now I'm 35!

Oh well, BD for the rest of the week and see what happens! Luckily I'm not back to work till next week. Probably a good thing, I've got loads of OU studying to do and catch up on. Speaking of which, I'm off to do that now.

    Have a good week all :-) x

I tried to reply to you yesterday but I couldn't find the right words. What I wanted to say was that you are no more or less selfish than a 25 year old or a 45 year old. Screw the media.

    There.

awwww JoBatch *hugs* you are not selfish. What the media doesn't remember is that WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT and you do what's right for you :-) I'm sure your body knows that too, and you'll have a sticky little bean in no time at all :-)

    #positivity

In other news, I think I must have been OFF THE WALL about OV early, I think I was thrown because my temperature WAS high, but that was likely the illness talking... Got my standard 36.3 this morning (no really... I'm ALWAYS exactly that)

OH is still not feeling well though, but it'll be tough from now on :-)

Definitely not selfish, Jo. What's right for one person isn't right for another. I won't be TTC in my thirties because of the early menopause that runs in my family. One of my friends at work had her 1st at 37 and it worked out fine.

Ignore the press, they hate teenage mums, career mums, post-30 mums: just all mums really!

aww dotty I thought temping was supposed to take the guesswork out of TTC! so how close to OV do you think you are?

I'll probably be OV'ing next weekend - CD5 and AF is finally on her way out :)
