aileth, to provide a bit of reassurance, I had a cramps 6 +7 do, then on 8dpo I had a shooting/stabbing pain on the left side, with cramps. Then the cramps stopped. Interestingly, 5 weeks later an early (8w) scan showed a little baby growing on the left hand side!

How severe were the cramps? They were just annoying yesterday but they feel very strong today. I had some pinching on the left but it only lasted a couple of hours. I'm flat out on the sofa now, they've totally drained me. Really feel like menstrual cramps (apart from the pinching). Seriously hope it's not early AF

Frer gave me a bfp at 10 dpo! Very faint but it was there!

I'm CD16 today so I'm guessing I ovulated over the weekend. I feel so poorly today. My stomach is doing back flips, I've got some random cramps and I feel really sick. My mind is now I'm overdrive thinking "you could be pg from last month and AF wasn't really AF..."


I've probably not caught this month but I still want to go and sleep!

Maybe the cramps and feeling sick is actually OV, and it's so intense because you're releasing this giant bad-!!! egg, the mother of all fertile eggs?

Congrats to any bfps I've missed. Wine and painkillers to those AF-ing.

So I've booked a Drs appointment for end of next week, when I'll be 2 months post-pill with no AF. I'm hoping the law of sod means that now AF will appear today. I certainly feel crappy enough - cramps, headaches, upset stomach...def not preg so surely must be AF symptoms, right? Right?!

Fingers crossed, Hbex. If not, I'm sure the Doctor can sort you out. My first AF for six years I had ZERO AF symptoms whatsoever. The only time I knew was when I went to the loo before going to bed!

Hi lulu I just wanted to let you know these symptoms mirrored my ovulation each month so could be that like aileth said . it lasted a few days. GL xx

Hi Hbex. good luck with the drs. just wanted to let you know i was in the same boat. it took a massive 16 weeks for my first AF following coming off the pill. then i had an 8 week'er, then a 3 week'er and fell on another massive 7 week'er. just keep an eye out for EWCM and ov cramps. they were my only tell tale sign. the dr also checked my bloods but said everything was normal and it was just withdrawal from the pill. GL hope its not too long a cycle for you. its frustrating
