Awful week. Had a miscarriage, was around 6 weeks gone. I knew I had lost, just didn't feel right. We only had the positive result 3 days before I started spotting. Guess it just wasn't meant to be.
Trying not to dwell too much on it, wondering whether or not to take time off work. I have stressful job in a male prison, working with challenging young prisoners who will pounce on any sign of weakness from me. Plus have to get through 7 locked doors to get to a toilet if needed.* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

Welcome, JTR. Sounds like a similar story to mine - determined not to have kids, then a sudden change of heart. Good luck with the TTC journey. Hope it's a short one!
Flutterby, that's so sad, I'm so sorry. Six weeks may not seem like much, but I'm sure you've already started making plans. Would your boss be sympathetic if you asked for a couple of days off? Or would it be a good distraction? See how you feel - it's not something you'll be able to predict. Plus, seven locked doors for a toilet? You must have developed a bladder of steel © Cuilean 2005. Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.0 -

Flutterby, I'm sorry. Mine was very similar - spotting 2 days after the bfp, proper cramping and bleeding the day after that. I had a few days off already planned, as we were going away, but I think I'd have taken time off anyway. The cramps were pretty rotten and it was so heavy, despite being such an early miscarriage, it was better for me not to have to worry about work.
Hugs to you and your OH, it's really rotten news x0 -
Sorry to hear your news Flutterby, hugs
. I've been off work since Tuesday lunchtime when I left to go to GP for referral to EPAU. I did work at home for a few hours each day, but I couldn't have gone in to work, the cramps and bleeding were pretty bad for the first few days. If you feel you need the time off, I'd take it, especially working in a difficult environment like that.
My bleeding is settling down to be more like a heavy period now, but not sure how long it will go on for. I hate wearing pads, I use a mooncup normally, so spending a lot of time in the bath and showering often. Going back for a scan on Wednesday morning to check everything has come away, so will ask the nurse then about switching to cup if the bleeding hasn't stopped. Back to work tomorrow, which shouldn't be too bad as only a couple of people know. Sent DH and DD to family lunch at MIL's without me today, couldn't face it
Jtr - nice to see you, hope you've been ok xLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Thanks all. Hugs to you too (((littlemoo))). My OH has been fantastic, he took me out for a picnic at the beach today, with his kids too, cheered me up. And my best friend had me over for tea last night, she fed me all my fav foods and bought me some nice flowers.
I'm wondering if what I thought was my period 2 wks ago was the actual miscarriage as I've only had very minimal bleeding last few days with a few on/off cramps.
I will take time off, can't work in that type of environment at the moment. And Cuilean, yep bladder of steel that has been well trained to wait til the break every hour between the lessons! I have Dr appt Tuesday anyway so will see if they can sign me off.* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

Welcome to June, and officially the start of summer (Although the two high wind warnings and gallons of rain we've got on our forecast would seem to contradict that!). Who's up for a BFP this month?
According to Glow and FF, my fertile period starts tomorrow. I've largely ignored the Fertility Monitor so far. I want to say it's because I'm trying to be relaxed about things this month (Which I kind of am), but it's also because the sticks are not cheap. For a while, I've been saying to OH that I have a feeling about a March baby. Let's see if I'm right
