Good Morning All and a Happy New Year to everyone.
Well yesterday was manic to say the least at work but we did get a surprise that we closed early so that was cool. Went to our local last night with the intention of staying till midnight but a group of lads sat next to us and i dont know what aftershave they was wearing but i ended up having an asthma attack to had to head home. Was fine once away from them so had a quiet night in with DH and a few drinks.
The diet starts today again, managed to lose nearly 2 stone from Oct to Dec last year but fear i have put quite a bit back on over the festive season.
No housework today apart from a quick tidy up as it was done Monday thoroughly so a lazy day on the cards.
Walked the boy already but even he dose-not want to go far now (he is 14 bless him)
DD rolled through the door at 8 this morning looking a bit worse for wear (house party last night) and has now took herself off to bed, so i doubt if we will see her anytime soon (OOO to be young again)
Anyhoo enough of my ramblings
Hugs to all that need them xBright Blessings xx0 -
Morning all,
Happy New Year to everyone and also welcome daisychain1.
Dumpling, how lovely to be looking for a dog.
Tru, that is good going with your grocery spends being down and very impressed by your gardening haul.
Stayed up and watched the fireworks on tv and then went to bed. Had a fitful night so still not up and going.
Plans for today are to complete decluttering the bedroom. Both hubby and I have decided to simplify this year so we are in the process of paring everything down.
We are another who are going to watch our weight this year. I noticed yesterday evening that my blurred vision is back so a good reminder to start eating more healthily again.
Have a nice day all.

Morning all
I got up just after 6, fed the fish, unloaded the DW, set the WM going, the washing will go over the maiden to dry.
DD2 was kept in hospital for an extra night, they were struggling to get her pain under control, she went home about 5ish yesterday.
Just after 6 yesterday morning DD1 turned up, worn out because the twins both have coughs & aren't sleeping, her hubby looked after the 5 children & DD came here, I made her breakfast, lunch & lots of tea & she slept for a couple of hours in the spare room.
I gave the kitchen a good bottoming & then went to Aldi yesterday I bought more yarn, not that I needed it, I just wanted it, lol.
Today I'll either sort the study or the spare room, I'm running out of room in the bin for rubbish & I have quite a lot of stuff for the charity shop, I'll drop it off when I go back to work on Monday.
Time for another cuppa I think.
Have a good day everyone.

Happy New Year and Good Morning on day 1! Cloudy and damp here but not raining, the fireworks last night started early in the evening but surprisingly only lasted half an hour after midnight which was good. Docky surprised me very much by coming up to say goodnight Mumi and then settling down on his blanket perfectly happily and sleeping until 7.30 this morning. Thank goodness for DD discovering those amazing valerian pour ons as in years past he'd have been up all night desparately trying to dig his way out of the house.
He Who Knows is taking DD home this afternoon and picking up Pushkin kitten from the boarding kennels and I feel he'll be a happy boy to see his Mum again. DD2 messaged us at 2.30 this morning, she and hubby had taken my Zebra to a friends party intending to stay the night as the baby would be asleep but, he woke up with the fireworks and loved them out of the window, and then proceeded to be the life of the party for two hours, keeping everyone in fits! they decided to bring him home at 2 and by 2.30 he was sound asleep again in his own cot, not bad for someonw who is only 11 months old eh!
I'm planning a blitz on the house when the others have left and the decorations will be taken down and everywhere polished and dusted and then I'm going to steam mop all the hard floors and clean bathrooms, kitchen surfaces etc and try to get the house back to normal. I've enjoyed the festive period but if I'm honest it will be very nice to get back to routine daily life again.
Have yourselves a good day everyone, Lyn xxx.0 -
Morning, health, wealth and happiness in 2015 for everyone.
We went to bed at 9.30, I was shattered after the huge house clean, laundry day, I dozed until midnight then turned the light off and slept through till 7am. Turned over and went back to sleep for another 2 hours. No intention of getting up early this morning.
We have had rain in the night and all the snow has gone, just a small lump left from where OH shovelled it into a pile.
Soup to make for lunch apart from that nowt, I have some sewing I want to do if I can be bothered.0 -
Good morning all and happy NY.
very quite here - thankfully it is mild here and the snow and ice has finally melted. Stayed up last night to watch the fireworks on the TV, but glad to be in the comfort of my own home.
Decorations to be packed away today, and a good clean up, and will try and get the recycling in the bin - should have been emptied yesterday, but no show by bin men
The other week I got a lamb joint from Netto for £2, and so that will do for dinner with roasties/Yorkies/veg. Trying our best to eat through the freezer to save cash, and make space.
have a food day everyone.

Morning everyone Happy New Year!
I had a quiet one last night just me, which I thought would be ok, stayed up watching Jools Holland and the minute it turned midnight, I felt really alone .
Anyway, New Year. I plan on taking my dog out with her new lead and collar, cooking a roast today, and watching a film tonight. I'm going to start making a list of all the light bulbs that seem to have blown the last couple of days?? And slowly replace them. Hope to stay around a while and get some useful tips and help from everyone on here 0 -
Morning everyone!
It is so lovely to hear how you all spent NYE. I am feeling inspired to get the decs down and have a good clean downstairs - usually would do this at the weekend, but it might be nice to do it earlier for a change!
Tru, your grocery achievements are impressive, OH grows a lot of fresh veg, but I am still learning how to cope with the gluts and not to waste it. I do like spreadsheets so might try tracking what we grow and use this year to help with planning.
Best wishes for 2015!

Morning all
Quick one from me as we are just off for a walk around an abandoned church that we have found in the middle of some woods and then off to a local pub for lunch!
Tree is still up and can stay there till tomorrow and it will then be chopped up and put in the green bin !
Have lovely days all xx0 -
Happy New Year to you all!
We stayed up and saw the new year in. Quite often we go to bed before (god we're boring!), but we were watching the Tommy Cooper drama on +1.
DS2 is up and gone already as his GF had to be at work for 8.30 this morning. I've got a bread pudding cooking in the oven and will go and strip the spare bed shortly. I'm thinking I might take the decorations down too. We didn't put many up due to not being here for actual Christmas, so not too many to take down.
I shall also be on the 'eat less and better' bandwagon but not for a couple of weeks as I HAVE to eat all the chocolate first or I wouldn't manage it!
Have a good day all x0
