One of the main arguments at the moment is that DS1 wants a pitbike, but I dont want him to have one. OH has a motorbike and he thinks its okay for him to have this bike. My point just doesnt seem to get across.
My DS2, is a joy, never have crossed words with him, if he ever does anything wrong or naughty, he knows and always apologises, DS1, never apologises for anything, even if he knows he is wrong, would rather just never speak or hide the matter under the carpet.
With your Ds1 s behaviour I would think it will be a long time now before he gets a bike.
Both my boys had road bikes at 16 and I hated it but they lived with their dad so nothing I could do:mad:
Your OH has to step up as alpha male now regardless of his opinion on the bike.
Your Ds1 is challenging your role within the pack as second in command, figure of speech, which his hormones think is his.
Unfortunately them growing up also goes hand in hand with your loss of control about what they do:(
One bit of advice I was given when bringing up kids is to never argue with oh in front of them and if you need to discuss something to find a solution to agree on never do it in front of the child. Just present a united front on the desicion and give reasonable reasons as to why not.
I think this now in your case will be a firm no until he can finance the bike, repairs and fuel himself.
LECJ I don't know what your son wants to give up (for some reason I think might be playing a musical instrument) but my nephew got an invite to the olympic judo team at a young age which he refused and never did judo again. He wanted to be a chef and that was it. At least he can handle himself and will never be short of work as a doorman in between chef jobs.
Evening all
Lovely afternoon with Naebbirac who turned up with toblerones:) Not eating them as joined slimming world but nice to have and sure visitors will demolish them.
Card didn't work at check out in As turns out there are 'issues' so they are sending another one out which means another number to learn:mad:
Makes you wonder how we will move forward with online shopping. A long time ago I had a cahoot account which gave me a separate number just to use online for safety reasons but linked to my account. Fed up with getting cloned as I only have the one card. Luckily bank transfered funds to my prepaid card so ok now.

Sir Dodgy, was this at G/town or B/don? And just wondering, where abouts are the eggs, near the check out, or in the sweet isle?
