What sort of things are not included by builders?

I am thinking buying houses is a bit like buying a new car - the price in the brochure is the shell price of the basest model - anything beyond the basic design you pay extra for.

We're getting kitchen cabinets and the oven and turf in the garden as standard.
Oh and walls with paint on them and floors :rotfl:
No other appliances, no flooring and probably minimal tiling too.
One developer made me laugh when one of the features included was a doorbell :rotfl:

Oooo congrats dipdap. We went on last Monday and haven't heard a dicky bird since. I am surprised!
Everyone I know has sold within days or on the day they went live, so something is amiss here...............
