she found a new schoolbag she wanted and I said Id transfer money to her account for it (£15) which I did using the banking app earlier today.
I've now had a frantic and garbled message that she went to the cash machine to check her balance and has over £1500 in her account :eek:
Guess who forgot to press the . between the 15 and 00:rotfl::rotfl:
I know she won't touch it but I'll feel better when she's home and it's back in my bank account
Very useful to do these transfers - on ours you have to set up the other person as if they were a bill and you have to do this in the branch, only then can you do it via online banking. My eldest has been on the list for a long time, always having to do money transfers
But what are you doing with that much in your current account unless its earning you some interest? Once bills are paid I transfer the left overs into a dump account, interest is very rubbish now 1.5% but it still builds up over the year and its still better than nothing.
also eldest son had his account emptied once so it worries me having more than the minimum needed in the current account“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

but I know now! it's also a good reminder to myself to wear my glasses when using my phone.
Bless her, she went back to the cash machine to print out a balance slip so as a souvenir of having that much money in her bank :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
a self respecting mother would let her keep it0 -

£6.00 any 2 for £8.00
:doh:I notice it would only give, at best, about £4.53 back from an £8 spend. Still making gift sets nearly £3.50:eek: for two. Surely must be some available straight at £1.25 or below at this time of the year? Sorry, not making my post look any good anymore:rotfl:.
Btw, for Avs S, I notice two individual packets of Trebor mints are now on 2 for 80p in S and available in A. Maybe one of each (or two of just one version but doesn't give as many items to the 8), with an individual Wine Gums pack?0 -
I'm in the same situation and am including the overlapping cashbacks in this years accounts.I won't include until I withdraw them.It will mean my spend for january will show a negative amount but December 2015 will balance this out.It depends how accurate you want to be.
thanks for this, its a difficult one. Actually the things I've bought for cashback I am actually eating this month so that gives another layer of complexity.
I think I am going to include the 3 amounts - this will probably be the only month where so many cashbacks pay out.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Trouted in sada for using a 8 quid apg. Apparently it's not possible when I only spent a tenner! If only someone had told me that before :rotfl:0

Many thanks

I don't have any money sitting anywhere that isn't earning some interest:money:
My finances probably don't work like everyone else's as I (until very recently) had very little in the way of income....wages/salary. I had larger irregular chunks from self-employed work and the rest of what I lived on was interest from savings, OH pension and other bits and pieces.
I am now earning a salary though so that should change the way I work things.0 -
