If he was that desperate to leave the parcel he could have left with a neighbour. More to the point, how many people is he doing this to? Clearly without any regard for anyone's property which actually, he is being paid to do. There are many who would be grateful for his job so if he does not value it perhaps someone else should be given the opportunity. He risked his job, not you.
Maybe he does value his job and that is why he is having to cut corners to hit his scheduleor maybe he is a liability who knows

A numpty for not putting a card through your door saying where it was, but I would rather it left than be taken back to the depot - I have had the experience of having to traipse half way across town to collect it after a failed delivery and it was no fun.
He will probably have thought he was doing you a favour ... note it as a bad experiece (Yodel are apparently known for them) and try to forgive this time :A and if there is a next time, then complain.

My old postie did the same when we moved to this house - he said he could sign and post through the door/put in safe place if there were no neighbours in, as he knew who we were, or take back to the sorting office (which is a right PITA to get to). They changed their rules a while back where for your convenience Royal Mail try to leave with a neighbour first (obviously after trying to deliver to you) before taking it back to the sorting office.

firstly a question for those of us who like our excel charts
I've got a new 2015 daily spends chart which as well as the everyday spends I've also got columns at the bottom for any incoming amounts which I can offset eg APGs, TPPs, BM, MOCs, cashbacks etc
Now I am not sure what to do about cashback amounts that overlap December and January - do I include them on the January list or not or do I split them up?
For instance I had £11 from Quidco clicksnap which was for bardoit water before Christmas but this didn't go into the account until 07/01 so I didn't count this - that seemed straight forward.
But then I've now got over a fiver in Shopotize to withdraw - mostly November and December shopping but also possibly milk and bread for Jan - do I count this or not in this months chart?
Also yesterdays Aldi buys have gone onto the balance for COS so I've now got over £20 :j Its taken 3 months at least to accumulate this but it def has some January items on it - do I count this amount or not?
I suppose the bottom line is how accurate do I want the chart to be? Also it might be that I get no cashback to cash out in November or December 2015 so it will balance out.
also my chart my rules
what do you think?
I'm in the same situation and am including the overlapping cashbacks in this years accounts.I won't include until I withdraw them.It will mean my spend for january will show a negative amount but December 2015 will balance this out.It depends how accurate you want to be.0 -
Just left my shopping on @sd@ checkout. Tried to use eight Dr O coupons on 8 pizzas. Firstly told could only use one, then supervisor said three. Then she phoned the cash office who said three only. When I said that was not their HO policy they said Dr O had rung them and said only allow one per person. Really. Lost the will at that point and said I'll go to T instead!
When Dr O were on offer the other week in M my DH and i had 3 in our basket but the SA would only let us buy 2 as it stated it was only 1 per person. I then said if i buy these put them in the car then go to a till to buy another that would be ok ?? She said ' NO IT WONT !!! if I see you I will have to call security as you would have already bought 2 and you are breaching the T&C. With that i left and went to MR T on the way passed to get the other and got a pp.:)0 -

There's no proof here that a fraud has been committed. The OP only said that it had been signed for, not whose signature it was. If I read it correctly the assumption that it was by someone at their address was made by whoever she spoke to on the phone?
Now if the driver has signed his own name...or something illegible and left the parcel in a place he deemed appropriate. All he is guilty of is not doing his job very well but it isn't fraud.
As an aside. You can complain to a delivery company if you''re not happy but as you have no contract with them, they have no obligation to act on your complaint. The seller is the one who has the contract with the delivery service and that's where complaints should go.
I've had this happen too and agree it's a royal PIA but if I had the goods and no harm was done to them Id be inclined to let it go.

I had an appointment this afternoon so on my way I stopped in Costa.
£3.55 and it jumped out of my hand
In my defence, they'd spilt syrup around the outside of the cup and just wiped it off with a tissue instead of putting it inside another cup. it was hot and very sticky and I probably wasn't holding it properly because of it, but still :eek:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards.
