MY OH is being annoying - no change there.

I knew he wanted to go to Sainsburys as we have a little shoe menders kiosk - he only needs the slightest wear on his boots before he has to have them mended - my boots could fall to bits without him noticing.

Going to our sainsburys really puts me in a foul mood - really horrible store, staff are vile, no bargains, no reductions ... but there was no way I could put OH off going.

So I went into store, I only needed to check the reduced sections and get a loaf and my idea being to do this as fast as possible before OH came to join me - if he goes in a supermarket it is like taking a spoilt toddler - he has to have something as a reward for going in, every time and in every store - chocolate or digestive biscuits or crisps or hot cross buns or something or other

so I got as far as the SS tills when he rolls up with one of this World War 2 magazines (obsessed with military history) The loaf is £1 and I've managed to find one solitary Christmas pack of minstrels which go through for 10p :j
OHs magazine is £4.70  - this in addition to whatever mending his boots have cost - at least a tenner

There was no way I could have avoided this - his mag he would have got anyway over the weekend and I'd managed to put him off going to the menders for 2 days

    exasperating.

never be rich at this rate.

My DH is a bit like this He went shopping yesterday and bought about 20 RTC bars of choc for GD Its the free from range plus he bought two nice RTC bits of fillet steak for DS as he likes it Told him not to spend much over the £20 as he had a £4.00 of £20 conditional spend Actual spend £35.00

I just need to learn not to let him shop when he is bored

It good to share with folk that understand though

All that concerns me about this is. A may well have a day

    eg
    Tuesdays - APG handout day

That they N/A all oos items at other supermarkets. The Toblerone is now OOS and shows N/A…. the Lynx may have been switched off at the same time ??? IYSWIM

So… I wouldn't do 5 shops of this all at once just in case :)

I had an appointment this afternoon so on my way I stopped in Costa.

£3.55 and it jumped out of my hand

In my defence, they'd spilt syrup around the outside of the cup and just wiped it off with a tissue instead of putting it inside another cup. it was hot and very sticky and I probably wasn't holding it properly because of it, but still

Surely they offered you another coffee

We give replacements out regularly if the customer does not make it to the door/table their drink in tact

I gave my DD an unexpected thrill today :o she found a new schoolbag she wanted and I said Id transfer money to her account for it (£15) which I did using the banking app earlier today.
I've now had a frantic and garbled message that she went to the cash machine to check her balance and has over £1500 in her account :eek: :o
Guess who forgot to press the . between the 15 and 00 :o:rotfl::rotfl:

I know she won't touch it but I'll feel better when she's home and it's back in my bank account :o

Just hopping on quickly as need to start dinner. Ok so I know the tills in T can't cope with double Multisavers when the products are whoopsied and in the 3 for £10/ 2 for £7 deals mix and match, to our advantage ;) but wasn't expecting this.

Just bought 2 whoopsied Healthy Living ready meals in my T Express, couldn't find anything else with the mix and match deal but decided that £1.40 a pack was a good deal so bought them anyway. Checked the receipt and noticed that a multi saving of 25% off Healthy Living has been applied (70p). Just looked on T.com and there is indeed an offer where u can save 25% off when you buy Healthy Living ready meals but funnily enough it isn't showing on the HL Ginger Lime Chilli chicken which is what I bought. Can you imagine what would happen if I had bought 3 :rotfl:

Might be helpful to peeps at whoopsie time to look out for the HL products. Receipt shows I also bought a whoopsied apple crumble.

    Quite a productive hour :D

White plumbing pipes scrounged off the neighbours - they're perfect for allotmenting :j

Home insurance sorted out- £45 for the year after cashback

Virgin media sorted about a rebate for an intermittent fault i have been getting- when I casually mentioned how unhappy my 80 year old gran was that she couldn't watch the queens speech on Christmas day because of it, I got better credit straight away :D

While I was on the phone to them I asked for a cheaper rate on my monthly package as I'd seen the same one advertised in the paper for less than I was paying

    Energy prices checked abc compared

    And finally-

Toothbrush on charge- I ALWAYS forget to do it, so remembering on the same day is a huge achievement for me :rotfl:
