Also I have to say thanks to my neighbour who kindly came over and helped me clear out my living room this week. It now looks amazing and clutter free. My dear friend is a born-organised mother of five so I listen to her.

Challenge: debt-free by Christmas 20170 -
I've been a bit of a lurker on this thread for a while. I'm just starting to declutter.
My situation is a bit like sillyvixen, in that I lost my mum at the beginning of the year, and still have to clear her things. The situation is complicated because i shared the house with her. I cleared some of mum's stuff soon after she died, but now I'm finding it incredibly difficult to clear out any of her things, so I have made a start by mostly getting rid of my own stuff. Over the past week I got rid of:
1-27 - clothes and shoes sent to charity.
28+29 - two vases - binned.
30+31 - two chipped dishes - binned.
I'm hoping to get rid of at least 100 things by Christmas, as the clutter is making me quite depressed.2025 goals

I got somewhere today - the 3 bags in the boot of my car for the clothing recycling bin have gone - the clothing bins at my 2 local supermarkets were full to overflowing when i went. today due to the road being closed i was sent by a diversion and went by a public car park with recycling facilities and found a clothing bank with plenty of room.
However i was meeting my dad for lunch, so my car boot got filled with more stuff to sort!! a job for another day i think - there is still more but as it will be stored in the boot for a few days until i get round to it, i dont want stuff on display on the seats when i don't have room for it at home.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0 -

I feel shamed by everyones wonderful progress, I tried to start several times this year but each time ran out of steam or got derailed by life stuff. Im starting again today. Am going to do 31 items today, 30 tomorrow etc in the hope of seiing quick results. I have to go to work but I can easily find 31!Magnolia Stellata0
