another half term, another round of decluttering. I'm carrying on with my old list (aim is to hit 100). I'm not counting things that would naturally leave the house (e.g. recycling packaging), these are items that have been consciously decluttered from whence they lurked.

    12. 3 photo albums and a stack of old photos
    13. the bulk of our 'days out' folder - old maps and leaflets for tourist attractions
    14. filofax and associated old paper kibble
    15. 4 books
    16. old address book

Carpenter's debris has gone into the skip! I had to wait for DH to have time/ energy/ inclination to do it, as it was too heavy for me to lift, but now it's done, hurrah!

I've begun listing some treasures on Gumtree in the hope of getting a few pennies for my old junk. Hopefully I'll be able to add to my list over the next few days

4 x board games, some vases/indoor ceramic plant pots, just kept a small selection, bathroom mirror (but I've replaced with new one), another wicker basket now superfluous to requirements, couple of relaxation tapes I never listen to, 2 x cookbooks, some plastic beakers. Having cuppa, then nipping to charity shop so stuff is gone. Also, some grime decluttered from bathroom and overgrowth decluttered from back garden. More to do, but garden bin is full, so it can wait :-).

During the bathroom clean I binned an old toothbrush that had been set aside for cleaning and a raggy old cloth I'd finished with.
Going to sort the bag of stuff I fetched off the shelf and get it out in recycling
If I get time I want to decluttering the front hedge of its stragglyness - there should be just snot enough room in the bin to take it.

  • Been to charity shop. Latest pile of stuff gone. Yay! DS and DD gone out with their Dad for tea. I should really tackle paperwork/general clutter on side in kitchen as it's annoying me and I've been avoiding it. Just a quick power nap first I think :-). Overall, house is looking more streamlined and organised, the simplicity that I'm aiming for is starting to appear.
