Just a few bits and bobs for today. I've currenty got EVERYTHINg out of the wardrobe. Trying the Marie Kondo 'does this bring you joy' thing. Most of it doesn't . The bits that do bring me joy are the impractical things. The 1920s satin coat with the enormous fur collar. The 30s silk nighties. The mad 80s japanese designer stuff with several spare sleeves. The wardrobe that brings me joy is not a wardrobe that fits my lifestyle. Completely stuck.
Anyway.
479. another item sold on tatbay posted off
Binned / recycled
480 & 481 two more broken cd cases
482 old biscuit tin was used for storage.
483 elastic from the sewing box, lost it's zing
484 magazine recycled.
485 compact mirror with broken hinge binned
And into the 'to be rehomed/ banished from my house' sack
486 & 487 two bras. Don't fit as well as I would like. You know how that is.
488 pair of hair crimpers I've had since about 1989
489 & 490 two makeup bags
491 Top with a hole in it. I'm really good at mending & altering but there's a hole in the transparent mesh yoke & I don't like it enough to replace the whole panel.2016: No Clutter to Be Seen 805/2016

My decluttering continues - I've sorted through 3 bedroom drawers, and started on my wardrobe, resulting in lots of stuff being chucked out.
A fabric belt - bin
4 pairs of socks - bin
A pair of tights - bin
6 tops - CS
6 tops - rags
Dress - CS
Belt - CS
PJs - shrunk! The arms and legs, not the width! Weird! - bin
4 pairs of knickers - bin
2 dresses I'm going to try and sell on eb@y.
Some Russian dolls - from my bedside table have also been added to the CS pile.
And a pile of photos have been rehomed
All this means that I'm now at 300 :T wow! The 200s went quickly.0 -
Got rid of some clutter today!
Took 36 items to the charity shop, and another 10 to the consignment store.
So I've managed to declutter 47 things so far this year. Had hoped it would be more by now, but the weather hasn't co-operated. Hoping to get rid of more later in the week.0 -

Watched repeaters on dvd last night, I definate one watch so that's on the to be given away pile.
Used up a small tub of face cream last night so tub in recycling bin.
Knitted a perm baby hat while watching film so that's gone in the bag to take to the local maternity hospital.
DD3 collected the little bootees I knitted for her but also loved the mittens I'd done for someone else so wants a pair of those as well. Now knitted so that's a little bit more wool used from the stash.
Used a gift bag from my stash of those to put the baby times for work friend in so they can all go today.
Finished off a candle last night so the jar can go in recycling.SPC~12 ot 124
