Gradually getting over the cold but now got a cracking PMS headache, it's like someone's taken an electric drill to my eye sockets. Moan moan grumble grumble woe is me etc.

    407 gluggy nail varnish binned
408 jam jars..I keep some for jam making but they've been building up & I'll never use that many so a load went in the recycling
    409 fabric scraps recycled
410 bits of cord & fabric tape recycled
    411 jacket recycled
412 a massive posh designer paper carrier bag that was full of wardrobe overflow in the bedroom - well I've managed to find homes for everything! Then I accidentally kicked a hole in the bag so now it's a gonner...recycled

    and for the jumble sale...

413, 414, 415 three makeup bags. I'm a big one for those gift-with-purchase beauty events so I've got a ridiculous amount of those freebie ones.
416 pair of boots. Surplus to requiremets and a bit past their best
417, 418 two t-shirts, radio station freebies I've never worn
419 bikini top. Can't find the bottoms and frankly it makes me feel like Busty McGee and I'm in constant terror of bursting out of it.

Just have to do the downstairs bathroom and that'll be the majority of it done :T It'll just be donating/recycling/dumping things as I go along from now on.

Was out in the yard earlier on, and came across some seeds and bulbs for the garden. Nipped out between rain showers and planted/sowed those so that's something I hadn't planned to declutter gone lol.

I've one more day off work tomorrow before the weekend, and think I'll clear out the summer clothes in storage boxes and get those sorted and donate whatever can't be used this year. I didn't realise how many shoes I had myself and scared to look at the summer ones

Well,Have done bits of stuff today. Not a great big push like I thought I would have, but a few bits gone. And I sold stuff :j.(Can add to the "Make £1000 in 2015" thread, making my tally for the year about £30 :rotfl:)

OH cannot really paint the 3rd bedroom until I clear it of all the stuff I have been sorting through. So 6yo and I started sorting through books to keep/donate/try and sell. That lasted about 20 minutes icon_rolleyes.gif.

    I moved a few more toys to 2nd bedroom/chucked a bit/set aside to try to sell/charity.

    579-589: 11 children's drawing/colouring/sticker books out for recycling
    590:2008-2009 calender
    591: 2009 calender.

The calenders(long slim ones) were hanging on the wall at the front door. After this long they just became part of the decor .I wasn't even sure how old they were until I turned them front-ways this morning :o.When I flicked through one of them there were notes about my then 18month-old having her jabs-was so tempted to keep it just for that 018.gif.But I was brave.Took them off their wire springs and recycled the rest.Very naughty Saver-upper keeping such stuff for so long!

Sold two kid's storage benches (one dug out of the loft, one taking up space in a bedroom) so that is items 592-593.

House still doesn't look much different.....

3 more to go til I hit 200. I'm determined to do it tonight, even if I have to declutter DH :rotfl:

Well you'll be relived to know that DH survived the night without being decluttered :D

Edit by DH (just - left with only a pair of boxers to my name. DH)

Cheeky! Ok, Managed to grab the iPad back from DH!

The news of the day is that I've folded up all our plastic carrier bags. It feels way over the top, but I'm amazed with the results, which is even more sad. Even after giving a huge bagful of carrier bags to the Sainsbugs food delivery guy this afternoon for recycling, we still had a whole cupboard full. Amazingly, now they are all folded up they have fit into an ike@ plastic bag holder. I can't believe the difference it's made to the cupboard under the sink, I'm so impressed that I'm determined to keep them like this.

The rest of today's items were
An old peek flow meter for my asthma
A free craft cd - CS
Patterned craft paper which I don't like - CS
Coconut flakes - OOD - food RC
    Old birthday cards - RC

    Nite, nite

  • One I forgot from yesterday:-

A large ice cream tub filled with shells the boys collected when they were small....the eldest is approaching 30!

Had to chuckle at this one, Elasticmoney:rotfl:

Have always been a keen walker and over the years tended to pick up and bring back 'interesting' pebbles or small bits of rock from various countries and mountains. Sad or what:o?

They were all in a massive double carrier bag which was so heavy that I put it inside a big plastic washing-up bowl in the shed. They're right at the back and I hadn't seen/thought about them for years:o. Was having a bit of a rummage in there yesterday and nearly broke my toe when I stubbed it on the bowl of rocks:eek:.

Decluttering was aborted (doesn't take much!) as I spent a happy and nostalgic afternoon going through them all. Will scatter them around the beds and borders in the garden when the weather picks up. Does that count as decluttering?
