Painted my nails last night in Barry M Raspberry topped with Leighton Denny Angel Dust. I totally love Angel Dust, it gives a twinkly star finish to any polish but comes off super easy as the sparkles are so fine.

I love applying glitter top coats too. I repainted my nails last night and am wearing OPI Espresso Your Style with OPI Comet in the Sky on my ring fingers.

    I have two final UU:

16 (i think) L'occitane Shea Rose hand cream (small tube that was mag freebie) WBA as a mag freebie. I enjoyed using this more than I thought I would and had originally intended to give it as a gift to someone else. Glad I didn't. I don't think I will ever pay full price for these tubes though as they pop up on magazines so often.

    17. LG Balance and Brighten HG foundation. Have another in stash but first it's my intention to UU all the sachets and tubes that I have of various tinted moisturiser/BB cream/CC cream and foundations.

Gonna go back over the month now to tot up my INS.

Lots more UUs to report. You can see that I have a bit of a problem with acquiring then hoarding hotel toiletries. No more! Sorting out a random bag of junk in the living room I also came across yet more Molton Brown toiletries. I am genuinely deeply ashamed of the amount of "stuff" I have. This ends right now. As an aside I have the same problem with lingerie and decluttered my lingerie drawers at the weekend to find stuff that still has the tags on! Again, deeply ashamed.

Anyway, enough beating myself with a stick and on to the OUTs.

    Toiletries:

19-21) Black Phoenix Trading Post hair gloss bottles that I've sold. They're all great but I won't be replacing them because I have too many!
    22) Small Sanctuary candle. Nice but too small to get any scent. Still have another to use.
    23) Boots Essentials toner 150ml. WBA, replaced with one from stash.
    24-28) Hotel shower caps.
29-33) Small bottles hotel toiletries. Decanted into 100ml travel bottle.

I have three more scented candles that are getting down to the last dregs so hopefully they'll go soon.

    Make-up:

    6) White french manicure polish. TA as it had set solid. Won't be replacing as I can't remember the last time I had a French manicure.
    7-9) Eyeshadow samples.
    10-13) Blush samples.

When I started this challenge I set myself a target of 75 for toiletries and 10 for make-up (I'd forgotten about all the mini samples I have). Given that I'm now at a balance of -25 for toiletries and -13 for make-up and it's not even February yet, I'm rechallenging myself to 100 for toiletries and 50 for make-up but without wastage. Let's hope I can do it.
  • A few INs received from a gift:
Dove Body Wash Blue Fig and Orange Blossom
Dove Body Wash Pomegranate and Lemon Verbena
Dove Antiperspirant Pomegranate and Lemon Verbena
    Dove Hand Cream

I'm getting to the point where I can nearly close the lid on the box I keep the toiletries in, which is great, as it has been way too full to be able to do this for a long time!
Thank you to everyone who posts on here :)

    Hi ladies,

Final figures for January and my OUTs outweighed the INs !!

    17 OUTS
10 INS which consisted of Tresemme shampoo and conditioner (were not desperately needed but were on a good offer), Liz Earle Bergamot and Ginger bath duo (totally unnecessary but again it was a good offer) and Ltd Ed C&P for Emma. Got a free 30ml C&P and this is counted as an IN also, hair colour (NEEDED and an instant IN and OUT) 2 x foot packs (which I didn't get to use1), and Vaseline body lotion (not really necessary but again a good offer).

There wre also two bottle of OPI lacquers that I bought but I don't count these for the challenge.

All in all not bad I don't think.

I was very naughty and got the OPI 50 Shades of Grey TSV, it was a great offer, I think I will have to get Shine on Me as well though:eek:, not sure about Cement the Deal, I probably have at least 1 that is similar.

Painted my nails with BarryM Almond, but really don't like BarryM on my nails, too thick and gloopy, might try thinning them a little, chipped on first day too, when so many people tell me they wear like iron:(

  • Two INs for me today:

L'Occitane Delightful Rose Hand Cream 10ml
L'Occitane Vanilla Bouquet Hand Cream 10ml

Both were freebies which came in a lovely tin!

I was very good, Amazon offered me a whole lot of Revlon makeup to review and I let the lot go - eyeliner, blusher, lipstick as I don't really use it.
I'm not allowed to pass on things I am sent directly from Amazon to review, but I can pass on things manufacturers send me (Trudij got a lovely baby monitor for her little girl. :D )

I've just been sent two nail dryers and a fantastic set of nail art tools to use/review by manufacturers and can safely predict an ecstatic grand-daughter as a result.

Cement the deal looks nicer on Emma than me as her skin is pale and cool looking whilst mine is warm. Dark side of the mood is lovely though. X

£365 a year spend challenge - this has included food/clothes/beauty?? who knows where I am
    20,000 step a day challenge
  • Willowbee don't beat yourself up about you SpaceNK order, as long as they are things that you are going to use up then no harm done! And I know what you mean about having things in your stash you want to use up, but you're skin being so happy with your current routine you don't want to vary! Could you sell or give away any of those products? I'm all about using stuff up, but if your skins not happy then what's the point?

    Thank you, pirateyqueen :)

You're quite right - it's better for me to use what is working rather than chop and change just to score some UUs. I reminded myself that it's quite rare for me to hit upon a routine that works so I really ought to stick to it! :rotfl: I made my friend laugh when I described the products that I'd ordered - a smokey rose candle, Drift Away Milk Soak and Float Away Body Souffle etc. We agreed that if there'd been an 'Everything Is Going To Be Ok' range I would have bought that! It was all about needing comfort and hibernating and being soothed and sometimes that is just ok...

I hope everyone is doing ok today :)

(maddiemay - the Barry M Jelly polishes chip off my nails immediately as well. It's v strange as people rave about them!)
