No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries in January 2015

Hello ladies

Hope everyone is well.

INs for me:
Vosene shampoo, 250ml. Thought I'd try it as my scalp is so dry with the cold weather.
Nivea soft 75ml tube. Not necessary at all! But bought with a £1 voucher, so only 23p. I love the smell of this stuff.

UU:
Hello kitty Liberty art fabrics body butter 50ml
Sanctuary spa body wash 200ml
Avon advanced techniques argan oil hot oil treatment
montagne jeunesse Face mask
Boots extracts cocoa butter body scrub 50ml.

I think that's all for now, still up 11 items for the month.
Hoping for one or two more sachet UUs before our holidays/wedding/honeymoon on Saturday. Off to the U.S (ohh the goodies temptations! )

1 UU last night, Aveeno body lotion. WNBA, I picked up the intensive one by mistake and it had a medicinal smell that I didn't like. The one I wanted was the everyday one which apparently smells like oatmeal.

Nearly finished up a Bumble and Bumble spray which I am not pleased about finishing. I will want to repurchase it, and I will need to replace the body lotion too so the UU's feel a bit pointless!

We went to the US for our honeymoon last year - I managed to contain myself and just bought a couple of EOS lip balms that I really wanted. We are going back the the US for part of our holiday this year but I have a feeling I may come back with half of Bath & Bodyworks, haha!

We're going to America for our honeymoon too and I've never been. Have warned OH that we'll need to make room in the luggage for the bath and bodyworks goodies (plus any sephora purchases and all the disney merch!)

We're going to Disney in September too. In fact I plan to take very little in the way of shower gel and body lotion so that I can stock up in B&BW. Love their Sweet Pea and Cherry Blossom ranges.

Ulta is a great shop to visit over there too.

I have also discovered that Sephora are no longer selling OPI By Sephora so I won't be able to repurchase I'm With Brad.

I think I'm worse for buying clothes in the US than anything else - I always have massive excess luggage and tend to take a spare case for all of my purchases Happy shopping!

19. Cussons Mum & Me Baby Sleep Tight Baby Bath 50ml - WNBA but did the job.


20. No7 Stay Perfect Eye Shadow in Thunder 2g - WDBA, love the shade and it lasts well. This has been in daily use for a good couple of years and I'm very sad to see the back of it. Replaced with a similar MAC shade already in use.

Paul Mitchell lemon sage thickening shampoo 75ml sample given to me by my hairdresser. I liked this, but it took me a long time to get through it. WNBA


Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv age correcting face cream 15ml sample. Where do I start with this one? Lovely stuff, but I won't be buying it because it is very expensive and I just can't justify that sort of cost. WNBA

Sounds like we were very restrained when we went to NY in Feb 2002

We packed for 4 people into two suitcases - including some presents we were taking out with us. And then we put each of those suitcases into a larger case so we knew we had space for bringing things back (figured 2 empty large cases should be plenty ).

We picked up a few bits of clothing, some pint glasses and some mugs but very little else - and came home with the smaller cases inside empty larger ones just like they'd gone out !!

I hope that you have a marvellous time in America It seems like a fair time to give in to a toiletry/make-up buying urge as it's such a celebratory time. I think I'd want to find a new perfume that would always remind me of the happy time


I'm going to be on the naughty step for an age in a week or so. I was upset about quite a serious argument and utterly sleep deprived and as a result placed an order for more things in the Space NK sale. It has been a very long time since I've responded in this way so I'm just trying to accept that what's done is done. Thankfully I ordered things that will get used and it feels like good value but that will depend on me not buying for a significant time so I can actually use things up...(I know...I thought that I'd learnt this lesson )

Also, I'm struggling a bit with competing wishes -

my skin is much happier if I use the same products consistently

vs

my desire to UU up lots of bits and bobs so I feel like I'm making some progress with clearing things.

Oh deary me I finally have some INs in my life. Nothing shockingly unnecessary though!

First, 2 UU (which got replaced with different products)
Benefit BrowZings brow wax/powder - MBA? Actually this was half UU half TA as I'd used up the wax but the powder was too light for me. Might try the 'dark' one at some point.

BarryM wink liquid eyeliner pen - want to buy again but couldn't find it anywhere? Did they stop making it?

Had a 10 off 25/25 off 50 voucher for Body Shop which expired on Monday so used it to get...

Body Shop Africa honey foot/hand lotion. Rec by someone on here for my chronically bad hard/dry skin situation. Almost out of my current lotion (peppermint intense rescue, also TBS)

Body Shop loose powder shade 02 - I only have a little left of my current one

Body Shop hemp hand lotion 30ml - again, almost out of my current one

Body Shop Fijan water lotus body lotion - after using up my Tesco cocoa butter lotion, I was left without an everyday moisturiser. I love the water lotus body butter (the scent is gorgeous) so got this one to try

Body Shop Japanese cherry blossom body butter - because due to the nature of the voucher, buying this legitimately saved me money (Order with: £25.50. Order without: £27.50. They paid me £2 to take a body butter worth £13)
