UU's:
Lush bath bomb (flower looking one)
Lush bubble bar (red heart one with glitter)
A bit annoyed. I had a swap planned with someone through a fb group and that person was banned by the admins (thank god as she probably would have swap lifted me) but now I have all these products and have to consider them an IN until I can get someone else interested in a swap.No buying toiletries challenge

Just painted my nails with Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Paprika - i love this varnish. No chip no problems. Great price too!
I have couple of INs as I couldn't resist Boots sale
Kenzo Flower Gift set
DKNY Gift set
Smashbox lip gloss set
I have also listed some items on Ebay so fingers crossed :jally.0 -
Given up the ghost and thrown away:
E45 creams x2 - really didn't get on with these, just collecting dust and expiry date in next couple of months. Unlikely to use in this time as have a body butter to finish which was sitting around for too long previously, as well. Then other, much nicer, creams to use.
Carmex - smelt rancid0 -
Could also anyone direct me to the post where explained donating toiletries to refuge center. I have couple of items that I can donate but I only know about Refuge Action and not sure if they take items.ally.0

Welcome FlowerPetals.
I have a uu
Elemis Quiet Mind Bubble Bath - I really love this and WBA but not at full price. I did get about 6 baths from this full size (200ml ish I think) and it does bubble up really well but is very expensive. I have one more of these in the stash but for now have replaced it with Elemis Tranquil Touch Bubble Bath.
I have been very naughty. Yesterday I called into Boots and as I walked past the Smashbox counter I spied the new Double Exposure Palette, I have the Full Exposure one which I love, I had a good look at this one and Boots were doing 500 bonus points on it plus a free eye primer, I also had a 500 points voucher when you spend £35 and this worked when I bought it, so I got over £11 in points on it and the SA gave me a sample of face primer too.
There is totally no hope for me particularly where eyeshadows are concerned.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Well this is definitely the thread for me! I've always been addicted to make-up and nice toiletries but I didn't realise just how much I had until we bought our new house in September. We currently have absolutely no bathroom or bedroom storage which is how I realised that I have enough toiletries/make-up to outlast a zombie apocalypse.
I started my own UU challenge there and then and managed to UU 35 items before Christmas. I then discovered this thread (or December's version of it) and decided that I would join in January. The first two weeks of January I was in Mexico and managed to come back with a balance of zero. I used up a lot of things but also managed to acquire some hotel toiletries. Since getting back last Thursday I have a further nine UUs, which is quite impressive, I think I had a lot of nearly empty items, it probably won't be this good in future. They were:
1) Small (20ml?) bottle hotel shower gel.
2) Vaseline lip balm (aloe vera).
3) Molton Brown 30ml Gingerlily body wash.
4) Small (20ml?) bottle hotel conditioner.
5) Sachet DCM face wash.
6) Sachet DCM eye cream.
7) Sachet DCM facial moisturiser.
8) Mouthwash
9) Sensodyne toothpaste.
I'm going to record all INs and OUTs then the balance will be the important figure. Realistically I probably need to get rid of about 100 toiletry items and the same for make-up but I doubt we (I have the husband in on this too) can realistically use up that much in a year, so I think my target will be 75 toiletries and 10 make-up (I go through make-up veeeery sloooooowly).
So far:
Toiletries:
INs = 0
OUTs = 9
Balance = 9

I've just gone on Give and Make Up, a site which organises donations for women's refuges and to my delight, the site has been updated with new info. Here is the latest information. I don't have anything to give, but it made me think about grabbing some cut price bargains specially for this. http://www.carolinehirons.com/p/give-and-makeup.htmlErma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Many thanksWe have some gifts from Christmas that we don't really need and I normally take it to the charity shop that I volunteer for. However everyone else does the same and I thought I'd do something different this time

Then I got confused by the blogging experts. Do you season it before using it? Yes and No say the experts.
I have a glass topped cooker not electric rings. So some say I shouldn't use it on the glass because the heat doesn't do what it should.
So my tagine is sitting on top of my hutch laughing at me. It does look nice there.
Mine sits in the cupboard and laughs at me every time I open the door!!
It was a gift 2+ years ago and has been used once with only moderate success. Give me a casserole dish any day - I found that the tagine took ages to cook the food through.
Be careful using on the hob - as far as I'm aware most tagines aren't made for the direct heat in this way and can shatter, I don't know why this is the case but yet they're fine in the oven, but I have lots of bakeware like this. Oh, and I season as I would normally.MFW 2017 #123 2018: £1,852.64/£39,200 (4.7%)0
