    dont know why you have replied under a different name ?

    but the fact remains that you contact the land registry if you want ownership details , so I do not think it matters about the info provided by this manager , either believe it , or disbelieve it , it doesnt seem to matter to your case from what I can see

    however , it certainly looks correct when checking their site and is listed on the portfolio pdf download too (over a dozen DFS sites)

    I think I'd be writing back to the manager to 'thank' him for his unhelpful response. Tell him the order for the new three-piece suite you were about to return to the store to place after Christmas can now be confirmed lost as a direct result of DFS allowing North West Parking to harass you as a DFS customer.

    If DFS has no contractual link with the PPC, !!!!!! are they allowing them into their store shouting out car numbers, with DFS customers having to jump to attention and respond to the 'wardens' interrogation.

    More akin to a WWII prison camp scene.

    Absolutely appalling.
    Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

    I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Responded with different name as using mothers iPad and didn't realise needed to log out as her and log in as myself. Nothing sinister just a mistake.

    I would escalate the complaint to DFS Head Office and say you've noticed the scumbag firm (who offer NO independent appeal worth trying) list DFS as a client...so why was the Manager not helpful? Was he lying, did DFS actually contract with this bunch? Mention how much you spent or WERE GOING to spend before this happened...ask that they either cancel the charge or give you the full address of the landowner so you can complain there.

    If DFS has a facebook or twitter feed then add to that too, make the complaint public to embarrass them into cancelling it.

  • I have now managed to scan the actual parking ticket which should hopefully be attached below.

  • The IAS need reporting to the SRA as they claim to use independent barristers but refuse to name them, this is an offence under the legal services act.

    If you can cite the specific offence, I'll make the complaint.

    The IAS need reporting to the SRA as they claim to use independent barristers but refuse to name them, this is an offence under the legal services act.

    Not only that but I'd suggest they are on pretty dodgy ground with respect to these SRA principles:

    1. uphold the rule of law and the proper administration of justice;
    2. act with integrity;
    3. not allow your independence to be compromised;
    ...
    6. behave in a way that maintains the trust the public places in you and in the provision of legal services;

    And the SRA Code of Conduct:

    O(11.1) you do not take unfair advantage of third parties in either your professional or personal capacity;

    Acting in the following way(s) may tend to show that you have not achieved these outcomes and therefore not complied with the Principles:

    IB(11.7) taking unfair advantage of an opposing party's lack of legal knowledge where they have not instructed a lawyer;
    Je suis Charlie.

    No, not the parking offence, and the question wasn't aimed at you, sorry.

    I'm happy to make complaints against hokey solicitors, but only if I'm on firm ground. An SRA complaint against the Red Cow Gang is viable, but I need to know exactly what offence is committed if we are claiming illegality.

    Here is the sign and the PCN in one post:

    You should concentrate on the complaint to DFS as already explained, escalate it in every possible way and state you as a family will steer clear of DFS if they do not cancel it and your mother is about to move house so was planning on a furniture purchase in the Spring. DFS are listed as a client of this bunch of scumbags so you know this is DFS' agent so what are they going to do about this? Written complaint, email/Twitter, facebook, the lot, NONE of them talking about who was driving (so none of 'me/myself/I' when talking about the parking event - mention 'the driver' in the third person ONLY).

    You have not had the first letter yet so, having read the NEWBIES thread you will hopefully already know NOT to appeal yet. Please don't ask why, it's already covered in the thread and there's a limit to how many times we can all answer the same questions on every thread.

    DO NOT do nothing. DO complain. And if DFS don't hurry up and cancel it, let us know when the first letter arrives (NTK or whatever wording it says!) and show it to us then (probably in February).
